5 MINDSET CHANGES that bring you happiness & peace : 1. Give back even if you have nothing to give back : No matter how little you earn or how little you can part with, there is always a scope for sharing. Make charity/donation/HELP a regular habit. Peak happiness can only be experienced by giving joy to others. #payitforward 2. Prioritizing your vegetable & fruit intake over anything else : Coming from someone who ate 40 eggs a day at one point. Learn to SERVICE your gut and your health before servicing ANY other aspect of your body. You'll be surprised by the power of a high fibre, high nutrition diet. #happypooequalshappyyou 3. Balance your ambition with gratitude : Perfectionists and hustlers are often VERY mean to themselves. Understand that no matter how fat you are or how badly underpaid you think you are... You are already #goals for someone, somewhere. Be grateful for what life has given you. But never stop growing. Slow growth is STRONG growth. 4. Stop chasing SEX & partners : We're a generation that's been taught this - "love and/or sex are the ultimate goals of life." You came into this world alone and you will leave alone. Love is beautiful and it will come your way when the time is right. But first accomplish the mission called #selflove. Only then will you attract the best possible soul into your life. And as for sexual energy... Save it. Read about how ancient ayurveda and yoga (and the modern #nofap movement) encourage the idea of semen retention and abstinence. You will witness your reality change. Those who have tried it, know EXACTLY how magical this can be. 5. Health over anything : Nobody is too busy for 3 workouts in a week. If you think your office hours are intense, welcome to 2020. Everyone's office hours are intense, especially in India. Even the CEOs, even the BIGGEST business leaders. But the top of the top, ALWAYS find a way to care for their bodies. What's the use of money and glory when you can't enjoy it at age 70? Even if not
Shout out to Officer Vallejo for showing compassion when someone just needed him to listen! #payitforward#sapd 💙 “I’ll be honest with you, I’m a troublemaker.. I hate the cops. But I really need someone to talk to.” - The statement given to my partner as he approached this young man, who recently lost his younger brother in a shooting. So my partner sat down and listened to him as he cried. This is policing. Sometimes it’s foot chases and cool stories to tell all your friends. Sometimes it’s boring. Sometimes it’s this.
“After his wife died, Bob Rutherford searched for a way to give back to his community. So he started knitting socks to protect those in need from the frigid Canadian winters. He has knitted and donated over 11,000 socks since. 🧦” - via @greatbigstory #riskhappy

‘Slow is smooth, smooth is fast’ - @mikeburgener . When it comes to the first pull, positions take priority over speed! How fast an athlete lifts the bar off the ground has no direct correlation to how explosive their finish will be, however an improper launch position does. Therefore our first pull must set us up for success in the launch position... slow is smooth, smooth is fast 🔥 . 📸: @crossfitwanderlust_bali . #burgenerstrength#payitforward

*Staring at the 100s of thousands of people entering the mall and deciding to go for a spiked eggnog instead* 😉 (📷: @saltnstreets) ☃️ I was asked by a reader to draft a post on how to survive the holidays - which is a great blog post idea! My husband and I host Christmas dinner at our home annually, so I know a thing or two about managing the big day. Here are three of my fave tips to get through the holidays in one piece: 🎅🏼 1. PLAN AHEAD - write lists and don’t overburden yourself. 2. If you have to, avoid situations (or people) that cause stress - like an uncomfortable holiday party or that overbearing person who insists on telling you “how fattening that gingerbread cookie you’re eating is.” Come on! 3. REST. Get enough sleep, get out and exercise and don’t stay up until 3am baking those 3000 delicious gingerbread men. 4. Don’t overspend trying to show your loved ones how much you love them! One of the best gifts I ever received is a pair of wooly knit socks made by a lady up at the family cottage - which I treasure. 🎄 Got any other holiday survival tips?
