Look, a leek! It’s a biggie and my first ever homegrown leek. 😮 I’m not sure why I haven’t grown them before, maybe because I don’t use them that much in the kitchen. 🤷🏻♀️ I think I’m going to make a batch of leek and potato soup for the allotment tomorrow. I’m going to need it as the outlook isn’t great 🌧 but i don’t want to leave the dahlias any longer! Will you on the plot this weekend?
Once I make broccoli and blue cheese soup it tends to appear at lunch for quite a few days on the trot. This is Day 3 (the last portion has gone into the freezer) 😌The book suggests adding a slice of grilled bacon when you aren’t fasting. So I did - and very delicious it was too 😋 This is me trying to increase my calories without adding in lots of carbs. I also had half an avocado as it was perfectly ripe - just with some salt and lemon juice. I think it I got it right as I was full up until dinner at 6.
