Being honest, I’m still struggling a bit to get back on track and “bounce back” to my usual self 🤷🏼‍♀️ BUT, I’m sticking to positive habits as much as possible & it’s been helping a ton. Here’s my protocol and list of go-tos that always make me feel good: ➡️10,000 steps a day + an informative podcast ➡️A strong morning routine - waking up at 5/6 am, meditating, journaling and reading a good book ➡️3-4L water a day ➡️Lifting/gym anywhere from 3-6 days a week ➡️self care! There are all this moments that you think you won't survive, and then you survive.
What is something important you wish you knew before you started training? Some things I wish I knew👇🏼⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 1. Consistency is the key to success in forming an ideal physique, some days won’t be as good as others in the gym. That doesn’t matter. What does is if you get up the next day and keep at it. Consistency is far more important than perfection and will lead to the habits you need to be successful. ⁣⁣ ⁣ ⁣ 2. Training with purpose & Mind Muscle Connection —Always have internal focus on the muscle group you are training. Think about your body while you lift. Picture the muscle you are targeting while it does the work throughout the set. Feel the stretch and full contraction every single time before you do the next rep. Never rush through your training. Doing the set just to get to the next is counterproductive. Get the most out of your workout.⁣⁣ ⁣ ⁣ 3. Setting realistic goals. This is key to staying motivated in the gym. If you set long term goals, you are less likely to adhere to them because they are such a far reach. It is better to set small ones that you can accomplish over and over. Are you spending hours in the gym, maybe even going twice a day, and feeling fatigued, exhausted and not really seeing results? - It’s easy to get in the mindset that we need to be constantly pushing ourselves in order to get results.
