I’ve been knocked out for the last week with a nasty GI bug that is taking evvvvverything out of me. 🥴anyone else?I’ve taken this week really slowly and learned a few things ... hopefully this helps anyone who is going through the same thing ! . . 🌟 your energy is one of your greatest assets - protect it. I spent the last week off of social media because I didn’t want to spend my energy on an outlet that would not serve me well in that time. its so important to set boundaries when your energy is compromised so that you don’t allow energies in that aren’t beneficial to your healing. we are definitely taking in others energy through Instagram 💭 . . 🌟get your probiotics in. 70-80% of your immune tissue is in your gut. fuel your good bacteria with fermented foods and a probiotic supplement to boost your immunity. . . 🌟soup is good for the soul. not only is it warm and cozy but the glutamine in the broth actually helps to soothe and repair any damage done to your gut. . . feeling very lucky to have the support that I do and especially for the health that we are so fortunate to have on a regular basis. grateful for it all. 🙏🏼 sending you all a lot of love, light & good health, always ✨✨ . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . #boundaries#protectyourenergy#energy#holistichealth#holisticnutrition#health#wellness#nutrition#intuition#intuitiveliving#listentoyourgut#healing#immunesystem#bonebroth#probiotics#fermentedfoods#immunetissie#guthealing#claritywellnessco
If you wanna to fly you have to let go of the things that weigh you down.—Toni Morrison🕊 Don’t wait for tomorrow to choose yourself. Letting go of the things that do not serve your ultimate success feels horribly uncomfortable in the moment but in the end will leave you better off. You can’t fear the weight you’ll lose, you have to embrace the loss, the release, the pain, and await the catch and newly emerging beauty. That beauty is you, but you can only achieve that once you’ve let go of what’s familiar and comfortable right now. Give up this moment to earn a better next. Happy Thursday lovelies! Remember how brilliant you are✨🦋 #strongwithcyd#holystrong®

The ego is part of our mind that we’ve not been educated about. This is why ego work is so important. In order to heal, in order to be a creator of our life we need to both understand the ego AND make choices separate from it. When we are unconscious, our ego controls all of our behavior + choices. So what is the ego? It’s simply our self concept. Anything after the word “I.” It’s the identity of self that began in childhood. Our greatest desire is to receive love (we desire it most from a parent) so our ego creates meaning about who we are based on feedback we receive. We show parts of ourselves we believe are “good” and repress other parts of ourselves we believe are “bad.” Then, the ego works overtime to defend this version of ourselves. And, to manage the perceptions of everyone in our lives, even completely strangers. This is so draining + time consuming but many of us know no different. Begin the practice of observing your stream of thoughts. These are your ego stories. A fragile ego just means an ego that’s overactive. An overactive ego believes everything is personal. Everything someone does means something about who I am. A fragile ego is easily triggered, highly defensive, and very black and white. A relaxed ego is flexible. This only comes from doing the work to become conscious. A relaxed ego can view people’s behavior as a reflection of that person, and not something about who we are. A relaxed ego allows for separate opinions and perspectives. It does not believe that disagreement means your own reality is not valid. To begin this work, start noticing the narratives that come up in your thoughts. This is consciousness. What stories does your mind tell you about yourself? About others? This is simply the internalized voices of the people closest to us in our earliest years and not “truth.” Knowing, accepting, and befriending your ego is freedom to live life on your own terms #selfhealers
I started this MBA program expecting to gain knowledge, confidence and empowerment, but I had no idea the relationships I would develop along the way. This program gave me friendships overflowing with everything I value most: humor, intentionality, compassion, empathy, more humor, spontaneity, commitment, passion, peace, even more humor and just a little bit of crazy. 💛 love each of you so deeply @troy_sch @trilltanner @b_corbett23 @michaelmora20 @ciscoo21
The outcome of the war of the mind effects everything inward and outward. It’s a battle nonetheless. One day you up one day your down. We have been conditioned to hide our emotions because it is seen as a sign of weakness and it can be if not properly maintained and communicated, especially in decision making in business, or communicating with strangers, loved ones etc. In reality, just hiding it can be a weakness as well depending on the persons or environment. Too often we put a bandage over an open wound. We must pay close attention to and welcome our emotions and understand what’s causing us to feel this way. When we do that then we can move accordingly to find a resolution. This is not always easily obtained, it takes practice and conditioning like preparing for battle after battles. Im getting more involved in my awareness of self. And this might not be your case but I found it true in me and other people alike. Drop one 💯 if you can relate feel free to add/build on to this. #foodismedicine#happy#healing#naturalremedies#holistichealth#powerofplants#naturalhealing#plantmedicine#herbalmedicine#minerals#detox#alkaline#food#organic#alkalineliving#alkalinediet#alkalinefood#happy#love#health

Another year down at Sydney Holistic Dental Centre. What an amazing group of people we have that work hard every day to make our patients the healthiest they can be. Today our end of year function was spent practicing what we preach: health. We did a workout 🏋️♀️, followed by a massage to iron out those aches from the year 💆♂️, a steam/sauna 🔥 and a cheeky glass of champagne to toast a happy and healthy holiday season. Wishing everybody else the same 👨⚕️ ✌️
Why settle for anything less than the “real deal”? Life is so short, spend it with people who truly make you feel loved, appreciated and want to be with you. Its hard to put in to words how good it can feel when you know you are in a relationship with someone who brings out the best in you and who adds to your quality of life in an incomparable way to any one else Admiration and adoration is nice, but its not the be all and end all. Love, effort, respect, communication and consciously choosing your partner again and again as you both grow together is a special feeling and sign of a lasting relationship Don’t turn a blind eye to what you know is fundamentally flawed, toxic or negative in your relationships because what you allow is what will continue Don’t settle for someone or accept shit treatment because you put so much time into the relationship, it’s not about time served… its about how that time together FEELS.
Meet your newest Registered Holistic Nutritionist 🍎 A certification that was supposed to take me 8 months ended up being 3 years. When I reflect on these last couple of years, I’m so grateful for this journey. Since I started this program I have traveled over 20 countries, I am more than halfway done naturopathic medical school, got concussed, learned a few life lessons, met new friends & rekindled with old friends, struggled with my mental health, felt love from so many beautiful people, started beads for brains and got a puppy 🙏🏻 I’d be lying if I said there wasn’t days when I wanted to drop out, where being in two different programs at once was unmanageable and times I questioned my decisions. This wasn’t the path I planned, but here I am. I encourage you to keep focused of your end goal, even when the odds are against you! The perseverance, strength and hard work is within — I believe in you 🙌🏻 ps If you’re looking for someone to help you reach your health goals, I’m your gal xo
I actually had no idea I was codependent. It was just normal to me. It wasn’t until my partner began dropping hints of patterning within my family that I had awareness of my own conditioning. The more I witnessed my family dynamics, the more dysfunction I saw. There were no boundaries. There was controlling behavior disguised as worry, the inability to communicate, and chronic health anxiety. It brought up a lot for me. I was defensive + guarded. My ego didn’t want to face just how much of my childhood learned behavior was manifesting in my adult life. I was deeply codependent. I was acting out what I had been modeled. Just as humans always do. All of my focus had been placed on my partner. On how she was doing. On what I needed her to be so I could feel ok (the root of all codependency. Codependency is a trauma response that results in selfish behavior. When you’re in it, you believe you’re giving all you can. You believe someone else is draining you. You don’t have clarity. The single most important thing you can do to heal codependency is to begin setting and holding boundaries. Full disclosure: it was the most difficult practice I’ve ever done. Boundaries are the reclaiming of the highest self #selfhealers
Our relationships are a manifestation of our past conditioning. The way we communicate. The boundaries we have (or don’t have), our level of trust, vulnerability. All clues. All parts of the puzzle that’s “us.” The type of person we attract are all windows into what needs healing. It’s the mirror to our past. It’s the patterning if our unresolved trauma. If we betray ourselves in relationships, we’ve been betrayed in some way in childhood. If we abandon ourselves, we watched a parent unconsciously abandon themselves to receive love. Then, we did the same. Our healing requires us to look at relationships and their patterns. There are always patterns. It requires us to stop externalizing our experiences and begin to paying attention internally. Some questions we can begin asking ourselves, journaling, or meditating on: 1. What about this person did I immediately find attractive? 2. Did I consistently spend time focused on what they thought about me, or did I focus on how my body responded to them? 3. Did I feel seen or heard? 4. Did I witness dynamics like this in childhood? 5. Was I trying to be chosen, or was I making a conscious choice? 6. Was there emotional connection or did one/both of us engage in emotionally phobic (game playing) behavior? 7. Did this relationship feel like home to me? And why? 8. Did I say or behave in ways that weren’t in alignment to project an image? Radical honesty reflections of relationships allow us to see our patterns. Awareness of our patterns IS healing. If you’re feeling the courage to be vulnerable, what pattern have you recently become aware of within your relationships? #selfhealers

Some classic food for thought by @jenntom_acu : “The Doctrine of Signatures is a centuries old theory that foods that look like a certain organ will be nutritionally beneficial to the same organ.” the same was believed in herbal medicine - that features of plants resemble the condition or body part that the plant can treat. Although the Doctrine of Signatures has its skeptics, it continues to be a part of the fascinating history and tradition of food and plants that we love so much. photo: @jenntom_acu
