Do you ever wonder how long your workouts should be in order to get the best results?? 🤔 • From my PT class I learned that the greatest excuse for not exercising is a perceived lack of time. Guess what.. it’s proven that the MOST EFFICIENT workouts only lasts 45-60 minutes (that’s only 4% of an entire day). But why?? The stress hormone - CORTISOL ✅ • Exercise is perceived by the body as a certain form of stress & stimulates the release of cortisol. Research has shown us that the time and intensity of exercise can the affect how much cortisol is released and when if comes to exercise, more may not be better 👏🏻 • It has also been found that training for more than 60 minutes will burn up the glycogen stores, causing reduced protein synthesis, tissue breakdown, in the body and ultimately release cortisol 🧠 • Ultimately, what I’m trying to say is you don’t need to spend 2 HOURS in the gym to make gains and that may actually negatively affect your results. Get in there, work hard, and get out 💪🏼

30 Min Pesto Penne w/ Chicken n Cherry Tomatoes 😍🍗🍅 TAG A FRIEND 😋 📷: @thefoodcharlatan👌 Check out @organicallyca for daily recipes 🍏 ---- Ingredients 🍱: 1 tablespoon salt⠀ 16 ounces penne pasta⠀ 16 ounces French cut frozen green beans, unthawed⠀ 2 chicken breasts, sliced thin⠀ 3/4 teaspoon Lawry's seasoned salt⠀ 1/2 teaspoon steak seasoning⠀ olive oil⠀ 3/4 cup mayonaisse⠀ 1/4 cup pesto⠀ 1 and 1/2 tablespoons white vinegar⠀ 1/2 teaspoon salt⠀ 1/4 teaspoon pepper⠀ 1 box cherry tomatoes, sliced in half⠀ 1/4 cup Parmesan, shredded⠀ more Parmesan, for garnish - DIRECTIONS 👩‍🍳:⠀ Bring a large pot of water to boil, adding about a tablespoon of salt. When the water is boiling, add the penne and set a timer for 5 minutes.⠀ After 5 minutes, add the frozen green beans. You don't have to use the whole bag, it's up to you. Set another timer for 4 minutes. When it is done, drain completely and return to the pot. If it's going to be a while before you add the sauce, stir in a couple teaspoons of oil.⠀ Meanwhile, prepare the chicken. Slice each breast into thin strips, pat dry, and season with Lawry's. Heat a skillet over medium high heat. Add oil to coat the pan, 1-2 teaspoons. When the oil shimmers, add a few of the chicken strips. Make sure there is space in between. We want them to brown, not steam. After 2 minutes flip the chicken over and cook for one more minute or until browned. Continue until all the chicken is cooked. Set aside on a cutting board and let rest. Once it has cooled a bit, chop into bite-size strips.⠀ In a small bowl combine the mayonnaise, pesto, vinegar, salt, and pepper. Slice the tomatoes and shred the Parmesan. When the pasta is drained, add the sauce, tomatoes, Parmesan, and chopped chicken. Stir it up. Just posted a 10min ab circuit I did that was really tough through @obe_fitness 🥵. So you might have noticed I haven’t been to Corepower in awhile. Honestly I wasn’t going enough and didn’t want to pay the insane amount a month to keep going. I’ve been doing more workouts at home and still an sprinkling in my Dancebody of course! 💕 But i wanted a steaming service that has yoga, barre, HIIT, stretching for recovery, and more. I found Obé on insta and love their vibes! ✨ I’m honestly drawn to their streamed workouts cause the instructors are super motivating 🕺🏻 and the colors of the studio are so fun and pastel and bright🌈⚡️. Love that they have so many workouts to choose from isolating body parts and even by time. WOW I CAN FINALLY BREATHE⁣ ⁣ and by breathe I mean:⁣ I can actually start getting back into my routine now that the craziness of work and moving is over. ⁣ I get it guys, life happens.⁣ ⁣ Here’s what I’ve been up to lately:⁣ - Created and began my first joint program called Eat well to train well with Jeff⁣ - Also revamped my own business’s program ⁣ - Started a new part time job working with children⁣ - Just moved into a new place with the loml ⁣ Just a whole lot of stepping into new opportunities and learning how to progress my career and personal life so that means, my diet and training was not to a T🙅🏻‍♀️⁣ And if I’m being completely honest, a year ago I would of had a panic attack over not being perfect!⁣ But now, I’m happy that I dedicated time to my clients, work and developing in my personal life that skipping a couple days in the gym DOESNT make me feel like a terrible trainer. ⁣ ⁣ You guys bottom line is that, I’m human. ⁣ The best part about this is that, I can relate. I know how it is to “fall off track”, I know that life throws curve balls, I know that not every week and day will be perfect. ⁣ ⁣ I love relating to my clients. It helps me understand their positions and also give them advice and help them through their tough times! That’s what a coach is for, I’m here to guide you, steer you and help keep you on your right path 💗⁣

Keeping dinner simple but yummy! Grilled Chicken marinated in olive oil, lemon, garlic powder, salt and black pepper with roasted lemon broccoli and half a baked sweet potato. This meal was more then satisfying especially during the busy week I’ve been having so far. I’m looking forward to the weekend for sure. I’ll be spending the rest of the evening putting together holiday cards, sipping on tea and listening to Christmas music. Hope yours is swell!
Les traigo una súper idea de desayuno que pueden hacer para mañana😋🍳: 2 huevos cocidos🥚🥚 + avena cocida🥣. Para los huevos si quieren que quede como en la foto, ni muy muy blandos ni tan tan duros, debemos poner en una olla agua a hervir, cuando el agua ya está hirviendo, echamos los huevos y los dejamos por exactamente 9 min; al pasar este tiempo los sacamos y los echamos en agua fría para que sea más fácil quitar la cáscara👩🏻‍🔬. Al mismo tiempo que cocinamos los huevos, hacemos la avenirris: ponemos en otra olla 3 cds de avena, 1/2🍌, 1 cdita de stevia, 1 cda de avena en polvo en un poco de agua y después de 3 min cuando se espesa servimos y agregamos los toppings, yo utilicé el otro 1/2 banano, crema de almendras @bioessens y muuuuucha canela☺️. Quienes se animan a hacer esto mañana? The majority contain little to no nutrition, overly processed, zapped full of all antioxidants, ladened with sugars + artificial colours + preservatives. The meal deal is from a reputable Pharmacy retailer. — Yes they are cheap, yes they quick, yes they contain calories = energy but is it sustainable energy (sugar crash? Hold on there’s an afternoon cake + coffee for that problem they offer!) + does it feed our microbiota, offer satiety, improve cognitive function + offer our bodies fuel for our cells which turnover millions per second aka methylation? Doubt it. — Instead, a quick 30 minute dinner and leftover meal prep the following day, with water flavoured with mint and rosemary + 1 cup of fresh raspberries. Costing under £5. Even the “health” store alternatives being held to ransom for £13+ is not on. Put in a little work, organisation skills to prepare and do the best you can — Food for thought. Sometimes I impress myself haha. Now while this is obviously not my prettiest meal it was FREAKIN delicious. Like I could have licked the pan lol. This is my take on Salisbury steak and “jicama” mashed faux-tatoes 😋 . . The gravy ended up reducing more than planned so I’m going to tweak this recipe and try again next week by adding maybe another cup of broth for more gravy mixture but the flavor was amazing and it was the best mushrooms I’ve ever made. (As close to Texas Roadhouse mushrooms as I’ve ever got) . . For the Salisbury steak: . 🔹1 egg 🔹1 lb ground beef. . 🔹1/3 cup @porkkinggood pork crumbs 🔹1/2 tbs Trader Joe’s onion salt . 🔹3-4 splashes of  Worcestershire sauce . . 💥Mix all the above ingredients together. . 💥divide into 4 patties 💥Add patties to a hot skillet with 1 tbs olive oil and 8 oz sliced mushrooms. . 💥cook patties 3-4 minutes on each side then remove and place patties on a plate. . 💥add 2 tbs almond flour to hot pan 💥stir mushrooms well. . 💥 then add in 8 oz @ketologie smoky beef bone broth and a few splashes of Worcestershire sauce (need to tweak and add more broth next time for more gravy) 💥let simmer for 3-4 minutes . 💥add the patties back to the pan and cover with lid. 💥let simmer 10-15 minutes until patties are fully cooked. Stirring Occasionally. . . Jicama faux-tatoes . 💥Chopped up jicama slices into small cubes 💥Added to pot of boiling salted water 💥boiled till soften (for me that was 48 min time may vary) someone suggested trying in a pressure cooker. 💥drain then place jicama in food processor. . 💥add with 1-2 oz cream cheese, 1.5 oz salted Kerrygold and 2 tbs heavy cream. . 💥process until desired texture. Healthy self-esteem is a direct result of self-love and self-respect. SELF- being the key word as no one can give that to you but yourself. Each time we make a loving, healthy choice for ourselves- body, mind or spirit, we develop confidence, poise and Self-Esteem. The kind of confidence I’m interested in comes from age, clarity, wisdom and experience. Looking good is a by-product of self-esteem, and not, in my experience, the cause. It’s our responsibility to look after ourselves as best we can. And the truth is that lifestyle has more to do with how well we age than genetics( though of course good genes help.) We cannot change our chronological/calendar age- but you can change how old you feel by how you think.  In turn, how well you take care of yourself will affect your biological age-how time and lifestyle has affected your organs making you susceptible to illness and decay.  Everyday we have the capacity to affect our overall health and wellness by how we think. Growing older does not necessarily mean a progressive decline in mental and physical capabilities-unless you believe it to be so. My gym is filled with women decades older than me who are still dancing and lifting weights. I also know women much younger who constantly complain about aging without doing a thing to change their self-sabotaging habits and negative thinking. When it comes to health and aging, the body and mind are so profoundly connected that what you think eventually reflects back in your body. The fact is we begin to age from the moment we’re born- but getting older does not mean we have to get OLD. People think about it too much instead of getting on with the gift of living.  They get old in their heads first. It’s also about not comparing yourself to anyone else-it’s about being the healthiest version of you that you can be. A face and eyes that glow with aliveness, intelligence, kindness and the serenity and wisdom derived from a life well lived is a joyous thing of

Eis que chegou ao fim o meu desafio pessoal de ficar 30 dias sem comer açucar e eu decidi comer a única coisa que eu estava sentindo muita saudade: @portodosbrownies. Mesmo chegando ao fim, decidi que não sairia comendo todos os doces que aparecessem apenas por estar “liberada” para tal. Porém, decidi que comeria o único doce que eu senti muita vontade durante os 30 dias, que foi o brownie. E assim fiz! Não cortei nada além de açucar adicionado, porque o objetivo não era relacionado a corpo ou dieta e sim um desafio pessoal por ser bem viciadinha em doces. Foi uma fase de autoconhecimento e desenvolvimento de autocontrole. No começo foi mais difícil e senti muito a falta dos doces, mas no final já conseguia entender e não sofrer por não comer um chocolate aqui e outro lá. Foi ficando natural não ter esse alimento na minha rotina e cada vez menos eu sentia falta. Acabou se tornando uma experiência incrível. E voltando a esse brownie maravilhoso, a melhor parte é que ainda tem mais da metade para amanhã ou mais tarde, porque aprendi que eu só preciso comer tudo se eu realmente sentir essa necessidade, caso contrário, eu posso comer uma quantidade menor e ser feliz do mesmo jeito. Lo primero que debemos saber es que si queremos hacer una COMPARACIÓN real tiene que ser en base a 2 elementos semejantes y buscar las diferencias, por ejemplo 2 marcas de 🍪 o dos frutas etc. . Acá lo único que hacen es comparar 2 alimentos totalmente diferentes y solo en base a sus CALORÍAS, cuando ya sabemos que NO es lo más importante 🤨. . OJO que no estamos diciendo que las galletas sean buenas o malas solo les presentamos la información de manera objetiva y que ustedes aprendan a tomar sus desiciones. ⬇️ Hablando un poco de cada alimento: . -Las 🍓 es un alimento real, no procesado bajo en calorías que además  nos aporta potasio, ácido fólico, vitamina C entre otras cosas. ✅✅✅✅ . -Las 🍪 que uno compra en el supermercado es un alimento ULTRAPROCESADO alto en calorías, grasas (de mala calidad) y con gran cantidad de químicos. . 🙄Ustedes creen que son alimentos que se puedan comparar? Por supuesto que NO. . Qué es lo importante que podemos rescatar de esta información? 🤔 . - las 🍓 es un alimento NATURAL que te nutre y le entrega beneficios a tu cuerpo, por lo que puedes incorporarla en tu alimentación diaria, mezclarla con otros alimentos según tus gustos etc, claro que será mil veces mejor que cualquier ultraprocesado. . - Las 🍪 es un alimento que NO puede estar en tu alimentación diaria. Debes consumirlas ocasionalmente, cuando tengas ganas y SIN culpa, por lo mismo No se puede abusar de este tipo de alimentos. . Y listo no hay más vuelta que darle al asunto. . Normally I’m a savory breakfast kinda gal, but this oatmeal has been calling my name the past 2 days! I used 1 cup @traderjoes gluten free rolled oats (which passed the @nimasensor test on my stories yesterday! 👏🏻) + 1.5 cups @califiafarms unsweetened almond milk + 1 tbsp pure maple syrup + a few shakes of @primalpalate apple pie spice and cooked over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for 7 mins. Topped with blueberries, banana, and almond butter. Growing up, I wish someone had told me that it was okay to have stretch marks and gorditos and thick thighs and big arms. But everyone around me was too busy hating their own bodies & forms that I always felt that these were things I should be insecure about too. Especially stretch marks on my arms. I post these to give you ideas and to show how I create balance while also getting in lots of nutrients. Not to show you that you should eat exactly how I do.⁣ 2. Everyday is different! So know that some days I indulge more than others! I’m not perfect! But I do create balance every day! ⁣ 3. Every person is different and everyone’s nutritional needs and preferences are different! We are all unique, so find what works best for you! ⁣ ⁣ 1. My first meal is usually eggs cooked in coconut oil, sausage, spinach, and I’ll either have a banana here or as a snack throughout the day! ⁣ 2. I made a healthy chili ahead of the week and paired it with lentil noodles! Pinterest is great for finding new recipes! ⁣ 3. I’ve been loving adding in salmon. It’s super easy to prep and I just pair it with some potatoes and veggies of choice! However spinach with some clementines on top is my fave!⁣ 4. As for snack I love bananas and at some point I usually eat some dark chocolate. Lately I’ve been having my healthier hot chocolate almost everyday!
