| Never Fucking Give Up | #nfgu First off, not posting this to flex (well maybe a little) 😎 Biggest reason I am posting this is because this is a major milestone for Jazmin and I. At the start of our journey, so many people belittled and mocked us for walking around with a camera and selling tubs of protein off of our IGs. People closest to us told said we would never amount to anything but factory workers because we stopped going to college. We were told we would never be able to afford the nice things we had always wanted or be able to go on the trips we always dreamed of. Needles to say we never quit, we kept grinding day in and day out. Doing whatever we could to get ahead. It would have been so easy to give in and listen to what people outside of us were saying. But we NEVER FUCKING GAVE UP. As long as Jazmin had my back, I had hers and nothing else mattered. Our circle got smaller as our goals got bigger. WE WILL FIND A WAY OR WE WILL MAKE ONE. Truly grateful to have the support that we now have but it doesn’t stop here. Jaz and I have big plans for the coming year and cannot wait to show you guys. Thank you to the friends in my corner and the supporters that Jazmin and I have world wide. I am well aware that if I started doing some “instagram bikini butt workouts” in which I thrust a gallon jug of water up in the air with my hips or pulse squat for 200 body weight reps or do abductors on the shoulder press machine...with the camera focused on my butt I would probably gain a lot of followers and people asking about my workouts. . Not trying to throw shade at girls who do this, especially ones that make a living off instagram or coaching, but that’s just not my style. . Sure, I do some awkward bikini girl butt workouts (what up leg push downs on the assisted pull up) but the majority of my training includes the boring standard movements leg extensions, leg press, deadlifts, etc. I focus on progressive overload, form, and feeling the muscle contractions. . It’s fun to switch up training sometimes and try something new, but don’t neglect the basic movements. People consuming this media should take it with a grain of salt. That “ab burner” circuit is not really going to get you a six pack. . Many of these posts are created with the algorithm in mind. People are drawn to something new and exciting. So points are earned, and ultimately attention is earned on the most creative movement. But is it really that great? Probaaably not. . The best movements don’t make for the best instagram videos. They are boring, or unattractive to viewers. Also, I believe it’s not beneficial to change up your workouts every.single.gym session. Follow a program, even if it’s one you create for yourself. Be consistent, focus on progressive overload. It’s hella hard to progress in something that you don’t repeatedly do. . Your instagram #fitspo is not a booty wizard. They probably are a master of angles, and a social media expert, and their own plan probably looks nothing like the one they film for you. #sorrynotsorry . #yycfitness#workout#diet#bodybuilding#gym
