Dit weekend gebruikt om maximaal op te laden voor een nieuwe week. Vaak werk ik in het weekend door. Maar soms is even tijd voor jezelf pakken juist winst. Op zaterdag naar een festival gaan en er na een paar uur achter komen dat je toch echt oud begint te worden. En op zondag juichen als een klein mannetje als je club scoort. Ik denk dat dit een mooie samenvatting van mijn weekend is. Ik ben in ieder geval helemaal opgeladen voor een nieuwe week. Mijn week zit vol met startende FitFood deelnemers, maandelijkse gesprekken met deelnemers en leuke samenwerkingen die jullie binnenkort voorbij zien gaan komen. 🏆 Ik heb zin om te knallen. The internet is full of nutrition advice and so called experts shouting there's only one way to eat. Which can make determining the right diet feel complicated and overwhelming. The good news is, it doesn’t have to be. Many methods can work, but what’s most important is finding a way of eating that is enjoyable and sustainable for you. Here’s a simple starting place for how to create a diet that makes it feel easier to reach your goals. First, define your goal. Do you want to lose fat, gain muscle, or just maintain? Knowing this will allow you determine most important part of setting up a diet, which is figuring out how many calories you need. The most accurate way to determine your calorie needs is to first figure out your maintenance calories. There are many calculations to help you do this, but the quick and dirty approach is to use a body weight multiplier. Quick note, this is just a starting point and will likely need to be adjusted. ✅For fat loss: 10-12 x your BW in pounds ✅For muscle gain: 16-18 x BW ✅For maintenance: 14-15 x BW Next set your protein. A good rule of thumb is .7-1 gram per pound of bodyweight or goal weight. For the remainder of your calories, decide if you want to eat more fats or carbs. There’s really no wrong way to do this, so go with what you prefer. However, if you’re really active or your goal is to build muscle or increase performance, you might do better with more carbs. Meal timing doesn't matter all that much. But setting up a frequency that fits your schedule can help you more easily stay on track. If you enjoy eating smaller, more frequent meals, then go for it. But if eating fewer, larger meals keeps you more satisfied, that’s fine too. The best way to crest a sustainable diet is to eat the foods you enjoy. Stick to nutrient dense whole food 80-90% of the time, and leave
