Came across some old pictures of me before I started to train (long time no see girl!) and this is how much my legs have changed!! The first two photos are from 2012. What a transformation in every way ehe, that Mia loveddd punk/pop music, being creative and knew absolutely nothing about training. In fact, I hated sports and being active. I would never touch a weight or run. The third is from this year. All Time Low is still my fave band. I still don’t really run, hehe. But I love improving myself, lifting weights, training badass legs and getting stronger for no one else but me. It’s difficult to see how far you’ve come and so motivating with a little reminder from where you started! I actually used to be insecure about my legs and let other’s negative opinions about them get to me. I just want to let you know that no one else’s opinion should decide how you should look or feel about yourself. You do you and be proud of that!!💗 x

First 2 weeks of tracking nutrition and working out has gone... Ok I guess😅 Not awful but also not as well as I’d like. Working out has been good but nutrition has been hard. If you have a bad day or week I suggest you ask yourself “why?”. I know for me it was lack of planning. Running out of groceries and not having much of a meal plan is where I went wrong😩 Identify why you failed and then FIX IT. So today I went grocery shopping to start off the week and got healthy foods to fill my fridge. Sucks to admit that I didn’t have a great start but I want to be completely transparent with you guys on this journey. Posting this pic with the coffee because I hate grocery shopping so I always reward myself with a coffee 😂 Also to flex the ring... not even gonna lie💁 Where do you guys do your grocery shopping and why? 🍁felt spooky, not deleting later🍁 • • • so I have been wanting to change my style and it has been happening gradually because I tend to fair in the cute category at times which I LOVE but as I get older, and go more places in life, my style will change. I’ve always been a fan of “worn-to-be-seen” garments but haven’t felt confident enough to pull it off until now. • • • The fashion industry is changing and now wearing what used to be covered up needs to be seen when it’s this cute! I think as times change, less pressure is being placed on fashion decisions as well as lifestyle decisions and so in saying that, I can really begin to express myself how I want to be seen and that is beautiful, strong and confident. Thanks to my lovely gifts from @pourmoiltd, I am able to test the waters and try out different styles. This year I feel as though I began to collapse time— that is to close the gap in time and space quickly between my highest and best self or my most authentic self and where I am in this moment. It has been a wild journey that was unexpectedly in commune with many people (many of whom are reading this), places, land, trees, and fifth dimensional magic. I feel wildly supported and find solace knowing that I have expressed myself and my gratitude and shown up for those around me near and far. I’ve had many moments of “Yes, this is how I want to live.” I now know fully that I am committed to changing societal systems of how we treat each other and how we relate to our land - and I know that these two are not mutually exclusive but rather inseparable mirroring truths. Letting myself be seen and heard and beginning to share my story was wildly vulnerable and it changed me and it reimagined my relationships and how I relate to this world. One of my magnificent teachers @sahdsimone told me, “The only way we get to keep our gifts is if we share them.” So it goes, the sharing continues and so does showing up, being seen, being fully present, being creative, feeling joy, trusting my process, and being honest when life isn’t feeling like rainbows and butterflies. Here’s to the real keeping it 💯 Here’s to vulnerability as courage. Size matters y’all. 😋This is a 48”x48” painting that I finished about a month ago. ☀️ I’ve tried painting small pieces but I just can’t get that oomph when I paint small. They always feel contrived to me. ☀️ There’s something about the physicality (maybe it’s the dancing 😉) that conveys an energy to the larger pieces. ☀️ Do you paint large or small pieces and if it’s small, help a girl out...what are your tips?
Fat loss and healthy are not one in the same I was inspired by @syatt_fitness and his 30 day Big Mac journey, in which he lost 7 pounds BUT HOW?!?! Big Mac’s are SOOOO bad for you! SO processed, much saturated fat OMGGGG He was able to eat a Big Mac every day and lose weight because he accounted for the calories, and was still in a calorie deficit. Yes, something like a grilled chicken sandwich with avocado and lettuce and tomato would have been “healthier” and provide more nutrition, but this could have easily added up to be just as many calories as the Big Mac. Tons of “healthy” foods, such as avocado toast with the runny egg yolk porn, açaí bowls loaded with all of the toppings, even your salads topped with all of the dried fruits and nuts, are easily the same caloric density as something “less healthy” on the menu. So “healthy” is typically referring to something offering more nutritional benefits than something else. Burger vs salad. But your salad with all of the toppings and the dressing is just as many calories as the burger that you didn’t get because it’s “unhealthy.” You can easily lose weight eating pop tarts and ice cream. Is this healthy? No. But fat loss can be achieved regardless if you are in a caloric deficit. I’m not telling you to go out and order all of the unhealthy foods because they’re the same as the healthier options, because they’re not. Our bodies NEED proper nutrition with vitamins, minerals, and phytochemicals to function optimally and, well, normally. BUT be informed about the decisions that you are making.
