The fifth and last part of our interview with Mr. Romain Tichit, founder and director of YIA (Young International Artists) Art Fair, Paris. Thank you again, Mr. Tichit, it was a pleasure! @verniceartmagazine: What are you enjoy doing when not working? What are your hobbies? @yiaartfair: When I don’t work I prefer to spend time with my friends and to travel. For me art is a real job, but it also allows me to meet a lot of people and to travel as well. It is always a big advantage. For example in the end of August we have a chance to go to Taipei in order to participate in the Art Formosa art fair to present our selection of artists. Of course one can say that it is a tiring kind of job; but art if anything is also a hobby. ********************** #yiaartfair #contemporaryart #painter #artist #artcurator #artgallery #contemporaryartist #oiloncanvas #museum #modernabstracts #artdealer #artgallerist #emergingartist #artsy #saatchiartist #drawing #sothebys #artadvisor #christies #watercolor #sculpture #artfair #fiac #artinvestment #acrylicpainting #verniceartmagazine
The fourth part of our interview with Mr. Romain Tichit, founder and director of YIA (Young International Artists) Art Fair, Paris: @verniceartmagazine: What has been the most exciting moment in your art career so far? @yiaartfair: If I have to chose one moment that stands out for me - it must be the day when in the Patricia Dorfmann Gallery we together found the name for YIA - Young International Artists; that name marked that key moment as the beginning of this wonderful adventure. @verniceartmagazine: YIA Paris is an art fair dedicated to young international artists. What kind of advice would you offer to emergent artists, trying to establish in the art scene? @yiaartfair: In my opinion there is not much advice I can give, apart from studying the market and understanding its rules. Today, thanks to the internet, emerging artists really have a possibility to make themselves known, for instance through Instagram, which is now a truly powerful and useful tool. I personally know artists who established strong connections on a global level with curators, dealers and collectors. This tool is really great. *************************** #yiaartfair #contemporaryart #painter #artist #artcurator #artgallery #contemporaryartist #oiloncanvas #museum #modernabstracts #artdealer #artgallerist #emergingartist #artsy #saatchiartist #drawing #sothebys #artadvisor #christies #watercolor #sculpture #artfair #fiac #artinvestment #acrylicpainting #verniceartmagazine
This is the third part of our interview with Mr. Romain Tichit, founder and director of YIA Art Fair Paris: @verniceartmagazine: "What are some of your goals, some of the things you would like to achieve throughout your career?" @yiaartfair: "To be honest I don’t know how to estimate my goals. In the beginning we had a dozen of galleries, all French. Ten years after, we have a chance to work with the galleries from all over the world. In fact our ultimate goal, if there has to be one, is to promote the French art scene by inviting more and more galleries, both promising and of high standard." *************************** #yiaartfair #contemporaryart #painter #artist #artcurator #artgallery #contemporaryartist #oiloncanvas #museum #modernabstracts #artdealer #artgallerist #emergingartist #artsy #saatchiartist #drawing #sothebys #artadvisor #christies #watercolor #sculpture #artfair #fiac #artinvestment #acrylicpainting #verniceartmagazine
The second part of our Interview with Mr. Romain Tichit, founder and director of YIA Art Fair Paris: @vernice.artmagazine: "What is the most challenging part of your job and what is the most rewarding one?" @yiaartfair (Romain Tichit): "To be honest, organising art fairs is quite an enjoyable work, but it also requires a lot of energy and contacts. The most difficult thing, in my opinions, happens on the next day after the end the fair. The fair is over and you know that you need start all over again. The best thing though is this quality communication you have with various actors from the art world; also the exchange with the galleries and artists on each of the editions. And of course the opening of the fair, the reception of guests - is one of the best moments. For each edition, the most important things is to create this perfect environment for our galleries, artists and our ever-growing audience (collectors, critics, journalists, art professionals and art lovers)." *************************** #yiaartfair #contemporaryart #painter #artist #artcurator #artgallery #contemporaryartist #oiloncanvas #museum #modernabstracts #artdealer #artgallerist #emergingartist #artsy #saatchiartist #drawing #sothebys #artadvisor #christies #watercolor #sculpture #artfair #fiac #artinvestment #acrylicpainting #verniceartmagazine
Newly, we had the pleasure to interview Mr. Romain Tichit, founder and director of the renowned YIA Art Fair Paris. We met a charismatic, nice and open person, with lots of experience in the art business. Interview part 1: @verniceartmagazine: "Can you please introduce yourself and tell us how you started out in the art business?" @yiaartfair: "Hello. My name is Romain Tichit. I used to be an advertisement expert for the Omnicom group (Publicis, DDB Paris), but even then I would be organising exhibitions for my friend artists. In 2010 I decided to create YIA - Young International artists - in order to promote emerging artists and the galleries which represented them; initially in Paris. For that first edition of the fair I had a chance to collaborate with some of the most prestigious galleries in Paris, such as Yvon Lambert Gallery, Perrotin Gallery and such galleries as Patricia Dorfmann, Laurent Godin, Polaris and Alain Gutharc, Gallery du Jour Agnès B. On that first edition, which my was first real experience in the art market, I was fortunate to exhibit such talented artists as Lionel Sabatté, Kolkoz, Michael Roy and Vincent Ganivet." @vernice.artmagazine :”What is your largest dream?” @ivanomercanzin :”To tell the truth it seems to me already to live a dream, thanks to the photography that is giving me more and more satisfactions. He also offers me new opportunities and surprising "contaminations", for example a collaboration with a writer who, inspired by my photos, wrote some stories published in a book, a publisher who asked me for unpublished photos for a collection of poems and then became a book , an artist-performer with whom we are doing a very interesting work on the Soul Manifesta, an allegory of the wild soul, an art gallery that commissioned me a very interesting work on the reinterpretation of common objects that through photography rise to works of art. And who knows what else “. #abstract #art #abstractexpressionism #contemporarypainter #collage_art #collages #artist_features #artwork #intuitiveart #instagramart #acrylicartwork #instaartoftheday #ratemodernart #painting_forever_art #art_promote #paintingprocess #paintingonpaper #artstrending #artsupportes #artscrowds #arthreapy #art_fluid #fluidartwork
@vernice.artmagazine :”What kind of advice would you give to an emerging artist, new in the world of artistic scene”? @ivanomercanzin :”To stimulate creativity and sensitivity by adhering to all the "artistic" initiatives possible, leaving the mind open to try new cultural experiences, interacting with the people you come in contact with and then discipline and commitment and grow in case of defeats to have new ones stimuli. Then the rest comes by itself, with this exercise of sensitivity, photography comes by itself, on the contrary, it is she who comes forward, presents herself to you and you don't have to do anything else but shoot, because the creation process was already formed inside you”. #fineart #onlineart #contemporarypainting #oilpaintingoncanvas #pencile #galleryartist #drawing_pencile #galleryart #realisticpainting #drawdrawdraw #mixmedia #pencildrawing #pencil #pencilart #pencileart #pencilwork #penciledrawingart #pencilartwork #museum #artgallerynyc #fluidartgallery #galleryartists #onlineartgallery
@vernice.artmagazine :”What is the largest challenge in which you have been understanded as an artist?” @ivanomercanzin :”Understand that you must not dwell and marry a single photographic genre, but open your mind and let the flow of creativity flow freely. It happened to me, in fact, that in the same week he experienced the distance and closeness with people with two completely different projects. In 2015 I was in NY for my first show, "Venezia Visioni e Illusioni" and the gallery was in Manhattan. Every day I moved from Queens, where I was staying, to Manhattan and I realized at that moment that people in the subway and surroundings fascinated me. I started shooting to try to capture the emotions of those brief moments of contact between me and them and the story “The face (s) of NYC” came out, faces and bodies very close in their everyday life (I shot without letting myself be noticed holding the car hanging but never before the eyes). Always the same period, another story, "Coney Island" completely different: a funfair in December closed with very few people walking in this deserted and desolate place. The beach and the ocean are the setting. Almost a dreamlike landscape completely different from "The Face" and yet fascinating, poetic and suspended in a surreal atmosphere, I called it the amusement park of the soul”. #fineart #onlineart #contemporarypainting #oilpaintingoncanvas #pencile #galleryartist #drawing_pencile #galleryart #realisticpainting #drawdrawdraw #mixmedia #pencildrawing #pencil #pencilart #pencileart #pencilwork #penciledrawingart #pencilartwork #museum #artgallerynyc #fluidartgallery #galleryartists #onlineartgallery
@vernice.artmagazine :”What you like to do when you are not photographing?” @ivanomercanzin :”As I said before, photography occupies an important place in my life and my time is almost all my free time. Alternatively, I listen to music of various kinds, mostly jazz, I read poems, a few stories, study famous photographers, watch author films. All stimuli that I then feel that enrich me spiritually and allow me to tell "my" stories in photography”. #watercolors #sculpting #oilpastel #photographer #workingartist #artstudio #acrylic #watercolor_daily #watercolorpaint #acrylicpainting #acryliconcanvas #figurative #supportinglivingartists #artist #artistas #watercolorpainting #abstractpainting #artadvisory #artaday #gouache #artistforhire #paintdaily #popart #popartstyle
@vernice.artmagazine :”What is your favorite artist of all times and why?” @ivanomercanzin :”My favorites include Francesca Woodman, Helmut Newton, Robert Mapplethorpe, Daido Moryama, Todd Hido, Alex Webb and many others. How do you see different styles between them and also for someone very far from my photographic genre. But for this reason they fascinate me because I always feel the need and curiosity to experiment with new expressive languages and to question myself, starting from scratch”. #emergingartist #artiste #figurativeartist #emergingartist #artiste #figurativeartist #instadraw #draweveryday #painters #paintingfosale #abstractpainter #artforsalebyartist #figurativepainting #artforsale #artsale #oilonpainting #paintingeveryday #auction #artmarket #drawer #draws #drawings #paintbrush #oilcolor #artininstagram #instaart
@vernice.artmagazine :”Tell us more about your creative process“. @ivanomercanzin :”Ansel Adams has well summarized this concept with one of his most famous aphorisms: "You don't just take a photograph with a camera, you put in the photo all the images you saw, the books you read, the music you heard and the people you loved. " Thus the artistic "contaminations" become fundamental to the realization of my photographic projects. And in every moment, from the initial vision, to the shot, to the subsequent elaborations and to the final editing, all this is filtered by my experience and becomes "my" photography. I believe that it is only through this inner process that we are able to create images that contain emotions in themselves”. #oiloncanvas #oil_painting #drawing #draw #pastel #paintings #artistsoninstagram #buyart #watercolor #saatchiartist #paint #etsy #painting #painter #artcollector #sculpture #sculptor #artgallery #artdealer #artgallerist #saatchiart #contemporaryartist #artists
@vernice.artmagazine :” What is your most great source of inspiration?” @ivanomercanzin :” I consider myself very fortunate because the passion for the arts in general, as I wrote earlier, has always accompanied me and this wonderful world continually influences my sensitivity by bringing out the need to externalize my emotions through photography. Here, then, that the sources of inspiration, I look for outside, among the people, in the landscapes, in the details even the most insignificant, in the little and the minimum. Often my photographs have few details, they are essential, there is never chaos or confusion, there are few elements, I try to "remove" as much as possible so that the viewer is able to compose the image based on his memories , to his memory. In this case the strange phenomenon, almost of transfer, takes place between your emotions and those of the observer, even if you don't know him and he knows nothing about you. And here lies the great importance of photography, its evocative power that transcends time and space”. #painter #artist #artcurator #artgallery #contemporaryartist #oiloncanvas #museum #artcurator #artdealer #artgallerist #painting #artsy #saatchiartist #drawing #pastel #sothebys #artadvisor #christies #artadvisory #watercolor #sculpture #artinvestment #artmarket
@vernice.artmagazine :” What has you taken to become an artist? How has it all started?” @ivanomercanzin :” I thank you for this definition, which seems to me to be quite high-sounding. I feel like a story-telling, at least I try to be one because I realized that it is a valid tool to learn more about yourself and the people around you. The representation in images, like any other art, inevitably leads you to enter into the depths, to probe the recesses of your soul, to tune into the deeper levels of your feeling. All this then emerges in the viewer of your images who remains emotionally involved thanks to the evocative power of photography. It all started apparently by chance only in 2012, but in an overbearing way since it does not spend a day that does not do something that has to do with photography, take, read, document, study, print books, write about photography and take care of collaborations with writers, poets, performers and other artists. I believe that photography is, in fact, my expressive language that more than others has managed to break through in me. In fact, I started learning about literature, poetry, painting and sculpture and I felt the need to express myself in an "artistic" way, and so by chance I bought a camera and started using it surprisingly that slowly it was becoming a new language that contained all my passions”. #painter #artist #oiloncanvas #artgallery #artcollector #artsy #saatchiart #artfair #artdealer #artgallerist #museum #artmarket #contemporaryartist #contemporaryart #sculptor #etsy #pastel #watercolor #drawing #painting #paint #canvas #buyart
@ivanomercanzin lives in Montecchio Maggiore (VI), studies drawing and painting with the maestro Vincenzo Ursoleo, participates in poetry competitions receiving prizes and mentions. The reading of classical and contemporary authors accompany his journey and the study and exhibitions of great modern and contemporary painters and sculptors complete his training. As an illumination, 2011 arrives, when "La Fotografia" explodes inside him and on 31.12.11 the purchase of the first digital camera. Observe, filter, crystallize and as an alchemist the images come out overbearing and invade the space hovering in the recesses of memory. Venice, Terra Madre, The Face (s) of NYC, Coney Island, Fornace Venini, 21 grams, Boys don't cry, Lio Piccolo are some of his projects. #painter #artist #artcurator #artgallery #contemporaryartist #oiloncanvas #museum #artcurator #artdealer #artgallerist #painting #artsy #saatchiartist #drawing #pastel #sothebys #artadvisor #christies #artadvisory #watercolor #sculpture #artinvestment #artmarket
Introspection by @michelle_poonawalla “How do we make sense of the barrage of images of violence and displacement that come at us in endless news cycles? Have our senses been numbed to the extent that we unflinchingly move past these images? How do we honour the gravity of these news fragments? These are some of the questions out of which was born Introspection Kochi-Muziris Biennale For her debut exhibition at the Kochi-Muziris Biennale, Michelle Y. @vernice.artmagazine :“What is your biggest dream?” @michelle_poonawalla :”At the moment, I’m completely preoccupied with planning for my next show in London. It would be wonderful to have my work in a museum some day. It would also be incredible if we could live in a world where there is greater space and appreciation of creativity and diversity of perspectives. We’re getting there, but there’s still a long way to go before we’re as a collective humanity create a world where we are more accepting and nurturing of one another.”#abstract #art #abstractexpressionism #contemporarypainter #collage_art #collages #artist_features #artwork #intuitiveart #instagramart #acrylicartwork #instaartoftheday #ratemodernart #painting_forever_art #art_promote #paintingprocess #paintingonpaper #artstrending #artsupportes #artscrowds #arthreapy #art_fluid #fluidartwork
