Dinner a bit of a blast from the past. One of the 1st dishes hubby made me when he first cooked me dinner โค๏ธ Haven't made it in a while so gave it a go using light mozzarella from @aldiuk with tomatoes, basil on a bed of spinach, watercress and rocket salad. Don't always have all my healthy extras so today making sure I get my HeA ๐Ÿ˜‰. Served with grilled lemon and herb chicken with some leftover #ratatouille. I have been fighting this never-ending sinusy head cold for the past few days. I had intended to lift yesterday, but when I woke up feeling 300% worse I made the game-time decision to take an unplanned rest day, which I can say was a good call because this morning I woke up feeling like a semi-normal human again. I spent my day in sweats, snuggled up on the couch with some knitting and some comfy foods ๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ’• (Swipe to see the deliciousness) โคMorning drink: @shapebynat ๐Ÿ‹, ginger, acv, turmeric drink ๐ŸงกBreakfast: @kelseyjfit ๐ŸŽƒ pancakes with a little twist...I subbed out 46g of liquid egg whites for 1 serving of @nofluffbaking powdered egg whites. It made the pancakes a bit thicker. Topped them off with @official_allamericanbutter French Toast AB ๐Ÿ’›Lunch: zucchini egg white oats topped with ๐ŸŽ sautéed with cinnamon, chopped pecans, and @official_allamericanbutter The Big ๐ŸŽ with a cup of @criobru with a splash of @califiafarms BetterHalf Creamer and a few drops of coconut flavored @sweetleafstevia drops. Tastes just like an Almond Joy! ๐Ÿ’šDinner: ground turkey with @traderjoes Soyaki, wild rice cakes with almond flour and scallions, and green beans, onions, and shiitakes sautéed with garlic. ๐Ÿ’™Dessert: shake with @bad.athletics Vanilla Cream with ๐ŸŽƒ puree and topped with @crazyrichards powdered pb and @bambodynutrition brownie topped with @cocoa PB ๐Ÿซ and put in the freezer for 15-20 minutes to make a yummy ๐Ÿซ shell.

RAMEN DAYO| I love a wee trip to @ramendayo on a tuesday night. It surely has to be one of the coolest looking restaurants in Glasgow....I've never been to Japan, but ramen dayo is pretty much what I imagine a street food shack right slap bang in the middle of Tokyo might look like.  Last night I went for the New Wave Tokyo Style Ramen - which is a light chicken broth topped with all kinds of goodies - marinated chicken chashu, water spinach, spring onions and of course a ton of noods. To this I added some crispy fried garlic and spicy ground pork which made for genius combo. This was just a brilliant dish packed with so much depth and flavour, and such a huge portion. When I graduated college [time redacted ๐Ÿ˜˜] years ago I bought a copy of The Fannie Farmer Cookbook to try to teach myself how to cook. Some of the recipes in this classic cookbook - originally published in 1896 - are now family favorites in our house.  If you are looking for a quick, easy, and delicious vegetarian appetizer for the holidays, find below a buttery oldie and a very goodie recipe adaptation.  This one comes straight from us and ours to you and yours courtesy of Fannie. โค๏ธ Lissa Rose #livingthebalance  Spicy Olive Cheese Puffs (24 puffs) adapted from The Fannie Farmer Cookbook, Thirteenth Edition  1 cup shredded cheddar, room temperature 4 TBS unsalted butter, room temperature 0.5 cup flour 0.25 tsp coarse salt 0.5 tsp crushed red pepper 24 pimento stuffed olives  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. 2. Place the first 5 ingredients (cheddar through pepper) in a food processer and blend till smooth. 3. Divide cheese dough into 24 equal portions. 4. Using slightly moisten hands, form each portion of dough around a single olive – making sure to seal all of the edges. Repeat process with remaining dough and olives. 5. Bake puffs until hard to the touch and slightly brown, approximately 17 to 20 minutes. 6. In honor of “What I Ate Wednesday”, I’m sharing the recipe for this AM’s 2B Mindset breakfast, that I showcased earlier today in my stories. . I ate healthy brownie batter with banana for breakfast! WHAT?! You heard me right! You can eat this and lose weight! . The ingredients are as follows: . *1 scoop chocolate Recover (or you could substitute chocolate Shakeology if that’s what you have on hand) *2 Tbsp. liquid coconut oil *2 tsp. PB2 powder *3 Tbsp. water *1/2 banana, chopped . It's a no from me. Sorry @camillaainsworth but maybe it could have been a bad batch.  I've been looking for this for a while since watching last year's apprentice but unfortunately it wasn't the best. Flavour was very lacking and it felt very watery, esleciay compared to the normal alpro milk I'm used to. This is my 4 ingredient no bake protein balls made into smaller balls!( recipe makes a total of 48 balls instead of 12) coming in at roughly 189 calories โญ๏ธ2)Oat crumble & yoghurt: I crumble up one of my 5 ingredient breakfast bars and eat it with 50g low fat Greek yoghurt. Coming in at around 173 calories ๐Ÿ“ 3)Yogi Berry smoothie: coming in at 90 calories per serve, this is the most DELICIOUS calorie friendly smoothie ever! Recipe will be posted on my YouTube video dropping later! ๐Ÿ’›4)Dates & almonds: I chop up 1,5 medjool dates and fill them with 6 almonds! Coming in at around 142 calories for them all ๐ŸŒธ5)Berries & ricotta: my favorite creamy berry combo! I take 2 tbsp of ricotta and have it with 1/2 cup mixed berries! Some people may prefer honey, but I like it as it! This comes in at around 86 calories ๐Ÿงก6)Pumpkin bites & nut butter: this is currently my fav snack! I slice pumpkin pieces ( around 1/2 cup) and bake it in the oven until nice and crisp ( w some oil spray & cinnamon) I then top it off with 1 tsp nut butter of choice & add a pinch of salt!
