I promise you: it’s not about size, it really is not. As we approached 2019, I sat and thought about how the year would look for me. I would get to see my husband for about 6 weeks this year between him finishing up his tour in Okinawa and beginning his tour in Belgium. I thought I’d be living with my grandma (who raised me) for the year. I set my intention for the year and chose the word “consistency” as my word of the year. I wanted to be consistent in all areas of my life- I knew the year would be crazy. I wanted to battle my anxiety & depression consistently. I wanted to study The Word consistently. I wanted to workout consistently. I wanted to shy away from my introversion consistently. As the end of the year draws near, I want to urge you to set an intention for the year. Pick a word to carry you through. Write out some reachable goals. Skip the flamboyant resolutions- and work daily at the goals you’ve set. (r, same shirt, different lighting) I thought it was a 2x and wanted to see how much more room I had to go before fitting into my 2020 XL one, so I tried it on today. Y’all. It’s actually a 1x 😭 I haven’t been brave enough to try my joggers again, but it’s truly not about the size between these two. It’s about my mental space as we close the year, how my marriage is thriving, how much stronger I feel, and the happiness I have inside!

Let’s talk stretch marks real quick. I know it’s a topic everyone HATES to discuss but let’s do it anyways. Let’s normalize these bad boys. —— I began to get stretch marks in 4th grade, my stomach has always been my main source. I was growing, I was gaining and I was ashamed that I had stretch marks. Why? Why was a child ashamed for her body? I’ll tell you why. Stretch marks were frowned upon. They meant you were “over weight” but little did I know Stretch marks meant my body was growing quicker than my skin could catch up. My body was doing its job! Over the years I have gained, I have lost. I have weighed a steady 200 lbs for years and then I have weighed 308 pounds until losing to 153. My body is forever stretching to make room for life, growing, adjusting. These marks have faded, came back and faded again. Why should I be upset for getting marks that have been apart of my life for years, marks that show my body is changing, marks that EVERYONE has. I have been told so many times this pregnancy “better get some bio oil” “make sure you use some lotion to avoid stretch marks” literally the only reason why i use lotion is to keep my stomach from being dry. Stretch marks are GENETIC. You cannot stop them from forming just by slapping some lotion or oil on the problem area. Your body is doing what it is supposed to do! So today, I am proud of these marks for assisting in my forever growing and changing body. Broccoli Cauliflower & Sausage Bake. . 📸 This amazing image and recipe is from @ketotommy . This was prepared and in the oven in less than 5 mins. . Directions 📋 1. Put half of a jar of @bertolli_us Alfredo sauce in the bottom of a baking dish. 2. Cut broccoli and cauliflower and steam until slightly tender (5-7 mins). 3. Remove broccoli and cauliflower and cover the bottom of a baking dish. 4. Add sausage cut into small pieces. 5. Add half of a jar of @ragu Double Cheddar cheese sauce to cover. 6. Bake @ 400 covered for 20 mins. 7. Uncover and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. 8. Place back in oven until Cheese is melted

So back in April, I tried my favorite denim dress on. As you can see from my face I was gutted!! The second pic was May and the third pic is me NOW #nsv I’m so so happy!! I screamed in excitement. Knowing I’m back in it makes me feel so bloody good.! This was my goal and I’ve smashed it in just 3 months. I can’t bloody believe it. It’s photos like these that got me through the ups and downs and this picture kept me going every time I wanted to give up. I wasn’t going to try it on today as I was still hesitant.
