WE. ARE. DONE!!! Introducing the Comal Cabin at A-Frame Ranch 😀 I’ve never had more respect for the HGTV folks who get a house ready in 2 days. Because that’s basically what happened this week after Dan finished all the structural stuff (he’s amazing). It was go time and my 33 week pregnant self is feeling it, but YAY! WORTH IT! And don’t tell my doctor 🤫 • We stayed in it last night, enjoying the heated stock tank pool and sipping coffee this morning while we watched tons of deer go by and it was *magic* let me tell ya. • Can’t WAIT to have y’all come stay! Planning on listing it on AirBnB by Monday- will post again when it’s live to keep you all in the loop 👍🏻 • Thanks a million for following along- and don’t worry, we still have 2 BIGGER A-Frames in progress!
“But what I discovered, almost instantly, was that as soon as I was in one place, undistracted, the world lit up and I was as happy as when I forgot about myself. Heaven is the place where you think of nowhere else.” - The Art of Stillness by Pico Iyer ☕️✨ #thejoshuatreehacienda
Our goal from the beginning was to have the pantry at @jthposada be much more than a pretty place. We teamed up with @amazonhome to put thought and care into what local and sustainable items we’d want our guests using at the inn, both to reduce single-use products as much as possible and support local businesses. The result is a ceramics pantry full of vintage pieces, and what we couldn’t find vintage in the quantities we needed (like our main dish ware) we found from local shops like @hfcoors (a really awesome dinnerware maker local to Tucson) via @amazonhome. Head over to our stories to see some of our favorite sustainable items that we have on hand to help reduce single use plastics at the inn! 🌎✨#jthposada #amazonhome
Once people find out that we host our personal home on @airbnb, the very first follow-up question tends to be, “How is that?! What do you do with your stuff?”. Short answer: 99% of people treat our space as if it’s their own. Our theory is that if we put love and energy into the spaces we host, that will be returned. As for our stuff, we keep most of it out for guests to enjoy and lock a few personal and sentimental items away. In our kitchen for example, we keep a couple of cabinets locked while we travel so it doesn't feel like we're 'moving out' every time we host our space. Long answer: is up on our blog! - Sara & Rich, Airbnb Hosts #ad#hostlife

The seller almost reneged on the sale of that 🐟; the left tip of its fin broke off and got lost while getting packed, and so “lost its value.” I was able to convince her that it was still worth something to me. But let me tell you — if there’s any found object here at the Beach Lodge with a status brand, then it’s by pure luck! It’s the hunt to find things that speak to me and feel that they belong nowhere else but here that give our pieces their true value. And for those finds that are precious yet just don’t quite fit the Beach Lodge vibe — they go to our online Shop for you to discover and add character to your home. Take a look — you never know when you’ll find something of “value.” 😘🤞
A room is so much more than a photo. It’s a space to live, breathe, interact, and connect… and as @airbnb hosts we are constantly reminded that the corners of a home come alive when coffee is brewed, music is played, and conversations are enjoyed. ☕️✨We began hosting about five years ago as a way to pay for our creative retreat in Joshua Tree, and since then hosting and designing for our guests has become our full-time business and passion. It has been both challenging and fulfilling, and an absolute adventure. - Sara & Rich, Airbnb Hosts #ad#hostlife
If there’s one thing we’ve learned from hospitality it’s that food brings people together. Funny enough, so do kitchens. 🥘✨ As we prep for a meal with our family tomorrow, we’re feeling grateful for this space of connection that @wayfair teamed up with us to create at @jthposada. They had everything we needed for this renovation including lights, stools, and the most gorgeous faucet we’ve ever seen. No photo will ever do it justice, so you’ll just have to come visit and see for yourself! 😝#jthposada #wayfairathome#ad
