This is pretty much my studio today. Currently working on the next piece of my “imaginary weaving language” series. A slow procedure full of feelings with the ambition to get one more wonderful experience through my weaving practice. #imaginaryweavinglanguage
I don’t think I ever posted a full photo showing both sides of this floral shirt so here you go! 🌸 this week I will be sharing a mushroom blouse I have been working and I’m really excited about where it is going. So happy to be working on upcycled clothing again!
‘I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.’ — L.M. Montgomery Y’all voted no border on this hoop, so I changed the formatting a little bit. Thanks for all of the help! She is now available in the shop to add a little pop of cute to your fall decor 🍂
As requested here is a closer look at a pair of denim shorts I repaired for @luckysewandsew using visible mending techniques. I stuck with the organic shapes of the holes, using variegated pink thread to fix a bold decorative piece of fabric behind the weak points to reinforce the garment and also make them more unique and beautiful. This is my favourite style of mending and I'm looking forward to making similar projects soon #mendingmayhem
We are super excited of @moiaoi , our current visiting residency artist who is using the local community center loom and linen to create these marvelous textiles. 🙌 #repost Hand-weaving with linen yarns that were hand spun from raw linen plants in ca 1920's. Testing with materials, colors and structures - such a luxury practice of textile making❤️ My artist residency diary at @hakoniemiluovatila 🌲🍂🌲❄️🌲
