I truly love how God just cares for us. Today was a rough day for me emotionally, physically and spiritually. I turned to the one place I knew I can find truth and comfort, His word. I decided to finish an old devotional because I was feeling stuck. As I started my devotional this verse came up and I knew He was listening. This verse has taken a new meaning for me so having this verse be a part of the devotional I was doing was God's way of saying I hear you and this holds true for you and those you love. Everything works together for our good through the good, bad and ugly it's all for our good. I may be broken today but I'm in the hands that can put me back together for all my tomorrow's. I will still feel the bad but I will also feel His overwhelming good and love. #momofboys#truth#hisloveforme#scriptureoftheday#romans828#purposeinthepain#love#momlife
Reposted from @humbledisciple . Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.” “Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. — Matthew 14:28-29 . What a moment: The perfect love of your perfect Savior so fully came alive within you that you literally stood on the sea, eyes locked with your loving Creator. . That's what you can do if you don't take the focus off Jesus and don't let the storm around you make you forget what you can achieve with God. . Daily Devotion – Psalm 148 – Praise The Lord!⠀ ⠀ Let them all praise the name of the Lord. For his name is very great; his glory towers over the earth and heaven! Psalm 148:13 NLT⠀ ⠀ From my place in the middle of the orchestra, I was captivated by the different sounds all around me.⠀ ⠀ The delicate melody of the violins, the rich harmony of the violas and cellos beneath, the driving rhythm of the double basses underpinning it all. Everything was perfectly balanced.⠀ ⠀ The brass section entered, adding a warmth and a strength, and the brilliance of the trumpets created a joy and vibrancy, lifting the whole thing to a new level.⠀ ⠀ By this point I longed to join in, until, finally, my turn to play came, and I was no longer merely a listener; I was a participant in this beautiful song. A Call to Praise the Lord⠀ ⠀ Psalm 148 is a call to praise the Lord. It begins with the angels and heavenly hosts, then one by one the different parts of creation are invited to join the song- the sun, moon and stars, ocean creatures, wind and snow, animals large and small… Each of them has their part to play.⠀ ⠀ I don’t know about you, but when I spend time appreciating God’s creation, it moves me to praise. As I see the power of the ocean, the majesty of the mountains, and the intricate detail of tiny plants and creatures, it points me to the One who made them all.⠀ ⠀ As we continue reading through Psalm 148, finally our turn comes:⠀ ⠀ Kings of the earth and all people,⠀ rulers and judges of the earth,⠀ young men and young women,⠀ old men and children.⠀ Let them all praise the name of the Lord.⠀ For his name is very great;⠀ his glory towers over the earth and heaven! Psalm 148:11-13 NLT Playing our Part in God’s Symphony⠀ ⠀ #godswill#christian#prayerwarriors#praisejesus#godlovesme#jesusculture#evangelism#godwithus#butgod#loveofgod#jesuschrist#scriptureoftheday#encouragementgallery
“And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose.” ROMANS 8:28 AMP
I got a message in March from someone that said “I have an alarm set on my phone everyday at 2pm to pray for you specifically and all that you’re doing.” . I’ve thought about that a lot. Because in and around the days that she was praying for me I had gone through a ton of loss. And loss quickly turns to heartache and heartache many times results in a crushed spirit. And shortly after the enemy always shows up and tells us what a failure we are. . And if I am being completely honest, I feel like those prayers and prayers like it, were the very prayers that covered me when I went through my depression in May. Because prayers do not expire. They show up and they stay near and they keep on going. . I don’t personally know the sweet soul who sent this message but that’s insignificant. Because what is significant is the fact that God used her at a vital time in my life. To encourage me, to remind me that I was not alone, and to cover me for what I would endure. . One of the greatest acts of love is praying for someone. Because it takes time to do that and love is spelt T-I-M-E. And even if you do not believe in God or you have been exhausted by his people. Even if you can’t quite put a name on what he is or you are angry with him for what you’ve lost. I am here to remind you that every single time a stranger or someone you know says, “I’ve been praying for you,” it’s your gentle reminder of love. . Sometimes God passes us messages. Many times he passes us each other. They come in the form of Facebook messages, of late night phone calls, and last minute coffee dates. They come in unexpired prayers, words of encouragement, and simply showing up. And there is always significance in that. . Today I want to thank every single person who has prayed for me. Thank you for showing up, for taking the time, and for loving me well. It does not go unnoticed. Kingdom things never do.
Type “I have all I need”. Thankfulness in whatever your circumstances is biblically sound. Reminded by Paul in Colossians facing death in Jail he only cared about others needs, and we have faith Jesus will wipe away every tear in the end and we believe His word and promises are true. It is Gods will for you to be thankful in all circumstances for His Glory. Amen and Amen ❤️⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ #scriptures#scriptureoftheday
“But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one.” (2 Thessalonians 3:3) ————— Yesterday I started reading This Present Darkness by Frank Peretti. Have you ever read it? I did as a teen but am seeing it with fresh eyes, think it hits differently in different seasons. I’m only on chapter 5 but wow it’s been a big reminder that a) “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6:12) and b) that PRAYER WORKS! ————— In one of the scenes, demons have gathered to strategise how to take down this pastor. One says “It’s no secret that [he] is a man who prays. Do you fear that?” Another says “Yes, of course, more than anything. We have been attacking him, trying to drive him out.” “And how has he responded?” “He... He ... He prays.” ————— I’m not sure if you guys are open or interested in spiritual warfare matters but I just wanted to encourage anyone who may be fearful about stepping out into what they feel like God is calling them to do. It could be a small thing or a big thing. Let’s not fear the enemy ... let’s meditate on 2 Thessalonians 3:3! If God has asked us to do something, he surely has our back and has a plan. But let’s act wisely as we are in a spiritual battle ... let’s hide ourselves in God and pray, pray, pray often (and remember that he is IN us too). He will be our strength, our protector, our guide. ❤️ #theyayproject#thispresentdarkness
