Yesterday was a good day, a hard day, but good! . I am more and more grateful to have such a loving, supportive family. Not everyone has that, and I am truly blessed! . They kept me going when I wanted to give up, their cheering for me along the course and knowing they were at the end waiting for me to cross that finish line kept me going! . Who is that person that is there for you supporting amd cheering you on?👇👇👇
GUYS!!! I’m back & better!! Kicking a broken foot to the curb for good! 💪 Let’s do this thing! HELLO RUNNING, OH HOW IVE MISSED YOU🏃🏻♀️💜 _________________________________________________________ Wow, it’s been almost 4 months. Yikes. I thought I was gonna gain all my weight back! Oh was I wrong. I’ve actually lost weight and gained some serious needed muscle mass! I remember crying when I broke my foot because I thought my fitness journey was over. Nope. I tightened up my nutrition, had my fit fam to lean on, and enjoyed muscle building. I made it work and I’m here for the long haul 💥🤛💪
Happy Sunday runday funday! I enjoyed following all my friends as they completed various half and full marathons.. wish I had been there but I AM getting stronger. I did iron strength this morning, biked to the park, ran 4 miles (felt great!!), then biked home. I'm so happy!
This weekend my beautiful wife @jennofthedead and I had the opportunity to head up to Tahlequah for the #pumpkinhollerhunnerd I ran the 50k. My first ultra distance run. 31 miles around the scenic Illinois River in the Ozarks. The weather was perfect, the course was amazing, the company was great, and the volunteers at the aid stations were true life savers. Couldn’t have asked for a better first ultra. Oh..and yes mom they did let me take a break. Quite a bit actually. From double fisting Belgian waffles at mile 16 to a double shot of cola then fireball at mile 21.45. It was an awesome day.
🎉It’s official, I’m a Marathoner now! 🕺🎉🎵 Putting it mildly (and, minus several obscenities!)...it wasn’t easy, or, pretty, but, I did it! I’ll touch on it in more in a future post....I’m too emotionally drained & physically broken from the day! 🥴 (On a positive note, my belly is full thanks to @crafttoronto, @runtobeer & @greatlakesbeer! 😁) All I can say is that I couldn’t have done it without the support from a number of important friends & loved ones! ❤️ Stay tuned for more details... Thank you to everyone that messaged me, sent me pics/videos, yelled my name during the race, patted me on the back in the corral, and/or, were just there for me when I needed you the most! ❤️ Today was a reminded of just how blessed I really am! Have a lovely night everyone! #shaneruns#itsyourmoment#marathon#marathonrunner#runwithoasis#towaterfront42k#irun#runtobeer

Treadmill run today courtesy of Mother Nature. It started raining yesterday, and was still raining when I got up. Not just rain, but down pouring! Lol It was a great opportunity to catch up on some downloaded movies on the iPad. Hope everyone had a great Sunday! #garminconnect
I did it! #3 half marathon in the books today 🏅🏅🏅 I wasn't sure how this was going to go based on my injuries in the past 2 weeks (& dependance on Bengay and Aleve to get me through), but the cards were in my favor today as I felt good and the weather was perfect. Although my family cheered from home (poor boy was sick), my phone died and I got no pictures, today was still special. The IPEF cheering teams were the best, I saw a co-worker cheering runners on, and found a fellow racing friend who pulled me across the finish as we finished together (and only 1min off my PR!)! I am thankful everyday I get to run and see what my body allows me to do. Feeling accomplished and proud today 🏃♀️🏅👏 Now just 6 months to go until #4 😂 . . . #runnergirl#halfmarathontraining#halfmarathon#motherrunner#runningday#runningismytherapy#runhappy#runnerlife#runrunrun
Today I ran and it hurt. Bad. But tomorrow I’m going to do it again. Not everyday is easy, but you gotta get through it and do it again the next day. And don’t forget, your race your pace. #everydayisamarathon#yourraceyourpace
@scalashopping #teamscala#ultimasnoticias15k#running#mimejorterapia #runninginspiration#runningtime#running#runningworld#runninggirl#runninggoals#runningismytherapy#runninglife#runningday#runningmotivation#runningcommunity#runningislife#runningback#runninglove#runninggirls#runningmom #creeenti#trabajaportussueños#viveydisfruta#mujeresqueinspiran @letsfitec

The Winnipeg running community did an unrace day community run. The City of Winnipeg shut down our beloved @wfpsrun marathon race due to unsafe conditions on the course from the past snowstorm. Runners came together to share a day of community and I completed my 3rd Half Marathon 💙💛❤️#wfpscommunityrun #wfpsrun#runningismytherapy @bridgeforksrunning
Can all Sunday long runs look like this please? When there’s a medal🏅 at the of it, even better. I didn’t get the time that I came for, but I was 17 minutes faster than the last time I toed the line for a half, so I’m feeling pretty good about today. The @marathonduptittrainnord is a great experience - and now I want to know the story behind the couple in the last pic who finished the half in 5:51 ... I got to see them start AND was delighted to see them cross the line while waiting for my friend @geoffisrunning to finish his first marathon!!! Lots of stories to take home from this race! #igrunners#instarunners#running#runlikeagirl#runningismytherapy#runnersofinstagram#womenrunning#oisellevolée#headupwingsout#thisis55#fitover50
It’s well-joked amongst my family that I’m so graceful I could trip over a Kleenex. I’m accident prone and today was another data point of proof. Yet this time was a bit meta for me. I was on my prescribed walk/jog listening to a podcast. The interviewer made the statement that we all have a superpower unique to us. I transitioned into my jog as I pondered what in the hell made me a unique snowflake. My mind whirled to my form: engage core and those glutes, watch my foot placement, strong armswing. Come on, right glute, get your literal ass in gear! Watch that footing, Meg. Superpowers. What’s mine? Shit, your feet, Meg. Dammit! Splat. Like a true lifelong clutz, I hardly miss a beat to bolt upright and dust myself off while on the move. Maybe this is my superpower. Get caught in the throws of perfectionism, face (plant) my self-sabotage, recover and push on to my goal anyway? Maybe it’s grit. The final 6.2 miles of the marathon are my favorite. Maybe my superpower is surrendering to “the bonk” and persisting through when everyone else quits? Maybe it’s my acceptance to fall in order to be thankful for the other days when I don’t? Who knows? It’s a mystery to me now, but I aim to get a little closer to finding out. What’s your superpower? How’d you discover it?
I decided last night that I would set my alarm for 6am this morning so I could run in the Cowichan Autumn Classic “Run Now, Wine Later” 10k. It was a very wet run, but I’m glad I did it! The 6am-me wasn’t feeling so enthusiastic though.😝 My time was 57:11 which isn’t a personal best, but it’s all good. 👍 Pieter, my running buddy, did the 15k and came in 3rd place for his age category! 🥳 Speaking of age category, the race results have me down as being in the 20-29 group - just a decade off. Haha. Oh! And I won a sweet Petzl prize pack valued at $100 that included a t-shirt and headlamp.
. . #corrersalva#runnersofinstagram#runningcommunity#runningmakesmehappy#runnerslife#garmin#runningmylife#runningismytherapy#adidasultraboost#running#runningterritory#nikerun#runchat#runningworld#runningmotivation#runningislife#photographer#marathon
Got out for a full 5K today, first mile I could tell my pace was too fast and I looked down at 0.50 mark and I was at a 8:40 mile pace. I’ve been around a 9:15 pace at that distance lately and sure enough I was gassed at around 2.50 miles.
