To avoid feeling overwhelmed with this step. Break it down by room and space and get into detail. Even the specific rooms you can have separate categories so that you break it down even more. For example, categories for your kitchen can be junk drawer (we all have one), cupboards, drawers, and pantry. This allows you to take smaller and more manageable steps to help you through the moments when you feel (and YOU WILL) overwhelmed. 🛏 MASTER BEDROOM (closet) 🧥ENTRYWAY 🍽 KITCHEN (junk drawer, cupboards, drawers, pantry) 🛀 BATHROOM ENSUITE 🛋 LIVING ROOM 🧒PLAYROOM
It was quite a gloomy day and to make myself charged I decided to makeover my bed space with some khaadi cushions and some indoor greens. So not over gallery walls.😊 This one became the showpiece of a recent tween bedroom project I did with my sister-in-law. If you'd like to see more projects from us - please give @havenmadeinteriors a follow! #lancasterpa#gallerywall#tweenroom
I feel like I am constantly redecorating and rearranging my house. I am a busy body and love projects so it’s not unusual for me to cycle thru a decor phase quickly, it’s especially a problem being able to build the expensive things myself. I can’t be the only one who redecorates monthly right?? Swipe —> to see what this space looked like just 9 months ago. Don’t be afraid to try something new, you may be surprised and you may find an unknown talent. DIY shelves, mercantile sign, blanket ladder, dining table & bench, and console table.
HOW DO YOUR SURROUNDINGS MAKE YOU FEEL? 🏡 Chaotic 🏡 Stressed 🏡 Overwhelmed 🏡 Cluttered 🏡 Depressed 🏡 Stuck It’s time to change those words. We share 4 tips for creating an organized home before winter in our blog (link in our bio). Fall is the perfect time to get organized before the winter weather hits. Here in Calgary, you never know when winter might show up. Get ready before Christmas explodes in your house. Winter means more things come into your home. Besides all the new gifts from Christmas (and let’s agree that some of those gifts you don’t need to begin with); you now have hats, mittens, gloves, snow pants, scarves, winter jackets, and boots. More items to find homes for. Oh and let’s not forget all those beautiful Christmas decorations that you will be bringing out and getting all set up for. Get your house ready for the Christmas spirit by organizing it before it busts (or at least feels like it will) at the seams. xo @thespacereclaimers
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! I know I did! It was pure joy for me to help my clients beautiful home get an updated look that was eclectic and blended with timeless pieces she already had. I have been sharing pics on my insta stories and can’t wait until it is professionally shot. On that note, one shot will do for now. 😉 “About Last Night,” Keep following along to see the the transformation. Happy Sunday evening!😌 #oneroomturnsintoanother
I forgot to show you guys the finished den! We live very close to our neighbors and after weeks without privacy, I had to make this room the priority. After three coats of white, three coats of black, I am in love with the windows and they made such a statement. So glad I took the risk. The dotted sheers are so cozy, they make it the perfect tv watching spot. Swipe to see the room before (and CeCe is allowed on the couch, she just likes to lay here sometimes 😂).
Today I finished a very exciting project! My very first “start from scratch” interior design job for an upcoming AirBnb! 👏🏻🙌🏻 I decided to go with a mid century/trendy vibe and I even got to feature some local artists! I’ve never worked harder or had more fun and I honestly can not wait to do this again! Thank you to @emilymillayphotography and @lindseyceylon for contributing some of your talent! 💕Please check them out!💕
So this weekend I had the absolute pleasure of redesigning my bestie and roommates’ bedroom. To say it was drab is kind of an understatement...love you Rebecca! 😂 this was so special, and I don’t think there is anyone more deserving of a beautiful place to relax, plus her reaction made it even better.
