Closing out on 2019 means I’m looking back at all the highs and the lows. Every year has them and I’ve found if I take the time to look back, I can identify crucial patterns and stop the harmful ones and harness the positive ones. Here’s a few questions I ask myself to gain that clarity. 1. What was my biggest win of 2019? How can I build more off of that win? 2. Where did I fall short? Was it me or was it circumstance? If it’s me, create a system to prevent it from happening again. 3. What didn’t work? Stop doing it. 4. Where do I want to go? 5. WHO do I need to become to get there? Excited for this trip tomorrow!! Flying out to La Jolla to meet with an incredible group of people. A group of the nation’s top residential real estate investors. 🔥I bought a thing. Well, actually... I bought a rental property that cash flows enough to pay the entire payment on this Tesla Model X. BOOM! 💥 Always said I wanted a Tesla, but wanted to buy an asset to pay for my liability. So... when I closed on my triplex on Maui... I took the plunge. And the cool thing is? I got the triplex as part of a 1031 exchange, which means no money down! I’ll have to pay for fix-up repairs on the rental, but I got such a great deal on the property, I’ll recoup those costs 5x over.
