I've been away, living a simple, unstructured, wild hair, one outfit, come what may life, and it's done me a world of good. . A T H O M E . What does it take to feel at home? Very little, it turns out. Familiarity, nature, companionship, warmth, roaming free, conversation, good cheese, a visiting cat, quiet. Where comfort lacked, I folded a jacket into a cushion, I placed beach finds around a tealight on a chipped plate, and I stared longer into the distance. I don't know exactly how I could get more of it to fit in, but by Jove (aka Jupiter, my ruling planet) I'll try!
Ate the last of the summer popcicles out of the freezer today. We’re in that weird time of year where we joke about it feeling “cool” because the high temp is under 90° and the kids have cousins already making snow angels ❄️ . If you need me I’ll just be over here enjoy the last days of warm-but-not-deathly-hot because while I am looking forward to wearing boots and sweaters, I’m also definitely a Florida girl through and through 🌞 . . . #sunshine#summer#popcicles#momlife#wednesday#quietmoments#thesimplelife
#ad I’m always so hungry in the mornings but I make sure I pop some @belvitauk biscuits in my bag to have whilst out and about. They’re so handy and convenient to give me an energy boost and so delicious too! These are the new Seeds & Berries biscuits in blueberry and flaxseed flavour. #poweryourmornings • And bring back summer dresses!
My little sanctuary. I’ve had some difficult months recently and I’ve learned a lot during these times; one of them being that I’m so fucking grateful for books. I was in the ER one night (I’m totally fine) and thankfully I had ‘What We Talk About When We Talk About Love’ and just read all night and realized nothing makes me feel like how books make me feel. I was completely surrounded by chaos and overwhelmed with so many feelings, but once I started to read I was able to feel at peace and give myself time to just breathe.
