A huge congrats to TSG 74kg Open Lifter Jean Lewis @sirmax.a.lot for his performance at Raw Nationals 💪 He is coached by Alfred @alfredtsg, and together they had an epic day! . JL hit a 35kg PR total at his first Nationals 😉 . Squat: 225 kg/ 496 lbs (15 kg PR) Bench: 140 kg/ 308 lbs (7.5 kg PR) Deadlift: 272.5 kg/ 600 lbs (12.5 kg PR) Total: 637.5 kg (35 kg total PR) At 73.17 kg/161.3 lbs . Absolute legend 💪🏻⁣ ⁣ 🏋🏻‍♀️ Personal clients: ⁣ ⁣ (Video 3) - Brutal Bel: where do I even start with this legend! She has so many hurdles to jump over in her life that would have had a normal person pull out yonks ago but nope, not this one! If something breaks down she stays patient, builds it back and comes back even stronger. Recently she competed in her very first powerlifting comp where she pulled a personal best of 77.5kg! That’s about 20kg over her body weight! For her efforts she earned herself a silver medal! Proud as punch 💪🏻⁣ ⁣ (Video 4) Rachy girl: I’ve never ever met someone who works as hard as this girl and that’s no lie. Since working together she keeps getting stronger and stronger but remains humble at all times. Always remain coachable, that’s the best thing you can be as an athlete. Rach recently competed again at GPC Melbourne Cup where she lifted S-190kg, B-90, D-175kg for a total of 455kg. For this federations weight class that puts her in the top 5 strongest in the country. Today's session(s) - I've made the decision not to go balls-to-the-wall at the upcoming competition I'm doing in favour of working on rehabbing my knees and competing later on next year with a better chance of hitting a big total. For the first time ever in my powerlifting ✌🏼career✌🏼, I'll  be handing over the reigns to a coach who will be taking care of my programming. So even though we're not fully working together yet, the squats portion of this session was partially guided by him. I'm just carrying on as normal with deads and bench for now. - Competition deadlift: 300kg for 5 sets of 5. I had to stop the session here as I was required to do a spot of parenting, but returned later. - High bar paused squats: 120kg for 6 sets of 3. Very light to let the knee rehab do its thing. - SSB Bulgarian split squats: 35kg for 2 sets of 8 and one set of 10 - hey, that's all I can manage right now 🤷🏻‍♂️😳 - #britishstrengthmagazine #britishstrengthradio @britishstrengthmagazine

Well... That happened. Haven't deadlifted but probably less than 20 reps total under 405 in the last 6 months. But here's a much slower and uglier than I'd like 600. Nice to know that that weight is an unpeaked and absolute every day max.
— Primary SBD Week 4 Block 1  There’s no better way to end block 1 of my new training cycle than with a couple PRs!  I remembered to hit record this week when I took 290 lbs. for my top set of 4 and it moved smoother than it did the week before!  The PR I’m most excited about is my top set triple with 340 lbs. @ 8. I’ve never pulled more than 330 lbs. and to pull 340 lbs. for a triple is insane! I couldn’t be happier with how this block of training has went.  I had numbers I wanted to hit at the end of this block and I exceeded those numbers! Staying on top of my recovery and executing day in and day out is an important variable lots of people forget about. Being consistent with the little things compound on one another to yield big results.  Let me know how your training is going down below! Today's shit show after a bin of a day. 212.5 pause halfway up deep knee bend. Poorly executed, poor bar path, divebomb into the hole, knees pushing in, rpe 13. Quite disappointing considering how well they've moved for the last 2 weeks. You win some, you lose some. We wanna celebrate Sam competing this past Friday at Raw National’s in Chicago. His 3 lift total was 1603 lbs 😧 and wasn’t even at 100%.. Idk about you but we think that’s pretty impressive. Way to go Sam! . Repost @sjansen228 with @make_repost ・・・ 2019 Raw Nationals surely did not go as planned.⁣ ⁣ I ended with a 727.5kg/1603lbs total with a 606/275 squat 336/152.5 bench, and a 661/300kg deadlift. ⁣ ⁣ I missed my third squat and deadlift purely on strength. I also missed my bench opener 🔴⚪️🔴 due to my heels being up. ⁣ ⁣ The hip injury effect strength more than I had expected it would. ⁣ ⁣ I have not missed more than 1 lift in the past 6 meets i have done, and 4 of those have been 9/9 performances. Missing lifts is a pretty foreign occurrence for me, making it all the worse. ⁣ ⁣ I’m pretty disappointed with yesterday’s performance but it is what it is. Dopo i 120 kg falliti é normale essere demotivati, ma se si è forti così tanto da non farsi abbattere, così tanto da perseverare durante gli allenamenti, i risultati arrivano. . E oggi puoi portare a casa i 140 kg tecnicamente eseguiti! . This is how I spend my breaks from work...a 10 minute walk, 10 minutes of pull-ups, or 10 minutes of mobility work. Over the years I have focused a lot more on overall daily movement vs. just thinking of exercise as what I do in the gym. Tracking daily steps is a large part of that. Simply going for a long walk every day can be huge! As a side note, I think bodyweight exercises are highly underrated. If you struggle with pull-ups, pushups, dips, etc. there are a lot of benefits in getting better at them 💪🏼💪🏼

Training war heute nicht wirklich gut.  Leider ist der Grund, dass wohl eine Erkältung in Anmarsch ist. Das ist echt blöd, denn meine OP ist erst ein paar Wochen her und ich ich bin erst wieder in der fünften Trainingswoche. Immer wenn es richtig gut läuft muss wieder was neues kommen.. Grrr. Ich hatte gestern schon gemerkt das da etwas kommen könnte. Heute morgen dann ein bisschen kratzen im Hals und ein kleines bisschen schnupfelich. Mir ging es aber richtig gut. Also auf ins Training in der Hoffnung das wirklich alles gut ist. Leider habe ich dann bei den Aufwämsätzen der Deadlifts schon gemerkt das ich nicht so viel Kraft habe. Habe dann einen Single mit 125 kg gezogen. (Video 1) gefühlt seeehr schwer... Wollte danach ein 4 x 3 x 115 kg heben, was schon weniger Gewicht war als geplant. (Video 2)  Im dritten Satz habe ich dann nach der ersten Wiederholung abgebrochen. Es hatte keinen Zweck. Mir war schwindlig und ich war platt.  Immer schön auf den Körper hören!  Also noch ein paar leichte Assistensübungen und wieder ab nach Hause.
