Meet the dogs who inspired #flannelhound I am a certified dog trainer and dog owner who suffers from chronic pain/chronic illness, which for me means I am unable to work or fulfill my passion, which is training Service Dogs, using force free training. Thanks to encouragement from my family, I discovered a way I can still be involved with dog owners and their dogs, but in a different way. 🐾 My husband and I have two dogs. Haven is my Australian Shepherd. She is my guardian angel. She has been with me for six years, four of which she has been my Service Dog helping me get through each day(we spent two years training). She is always happy and I am blessed to call her mine. 🐾 Hawkeye is our Catahoula Leopard Dog, a gentle giant and sure to brighten your day. He is a couch potato and 120lbs of lap dog. He helps out around the house, opening and closing doors, drawers, and even the fridge. He is only 3 years old but is greying quickly, making him look like the older brother!
Unfortunately in a world so advanced and tech-oriented, our least priority still remains the mental health and anxiety issues. With our constantly moving ferocious and monotonous routine work, we often ignore the verge of anxiety that we have reached upon. With multivarious tasks to be done, we often ignore the level of overthinking that we consistently consume. With insecurities instilled in us by others, we get engrossed in comparing ourselves to others and undermining our abilities and superpowers. Perfection is an illusion and it should remain one forever. It's about time for us to look around and work for the well being of our mental health. It's time that we make the right choices, take measures to solve our anxiety problems and prevent ourselves from being deluded by the misconceived perfection of others. Let's all make a pact here and determine to work for ourselves and evacuate this taboo from our society forever! Its high time we care for ourselves! #notallwoundsarevisible#fastcare#wecareforyou#careforyourself#maketherightchoice⁵
This years “Drag Me to Homecoming” was so much fun! They had such a great turn out! Confidence radiated off of everyone there and it was truly amazing to watch such fun people be so confident and feel so empowered! I love supporting the LGBTQ+ community! Unfortunately people in LGBTQ are five times more likely to be diagnosed with some mental illness because they feel less accepted by society. By showing your support in LGBTQ+ events you are also showing your support in your friends or family who might feel this way and by doing so you are helping more people feel welcomed and loved! LGBTQ+ Lifeline: 1-800-273-8255 It’s ok to be different! It’s ok to be YOU!💜#notallwoundsarevisible #loveislove#beyou#lgbtq+

October is Domestic Violence Awareness month and I wanted to share a bit of my past with you. I spent quite a few years fighting for a relationship (my marriage) that I didn’t know was destroying me. I urge you to research emotional and mental abuse. Not all the wounds you suffer are visible. I’m still not sure if he always knew what he was doing to me (it’d like to think I married a good human being) but I am still recovering from it 4 years after our divorce finalized. PLEASE if you’re constantly questioning your worth because of your significant other... seek help. #domesticviolenceawareness #domesticviolenceawarenessmonth #transparency#ihidenothing#waybackwednesday#ithoughtiwashappy#knowthesigns#knowthesignsofabuse#notallwoundsarevisible
