This castle-that’s-not-really-a-castle was one of the most surprising stops on our trips to Wales. While it’s a beautiful building and a recent movie set, it has a dark history. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Check out our new blog post (link in bio and stories) about our recent trip to Snowdonia! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 👗 @jjshouseofficial Use the code SOPHIE for 10% off before Dec 30th!
Apologies for the lapse in posting everyone. IG has become a pretty worthless platform these days and it's just hard to find the motivation to post, but I did want to share my favorite shot from our recent trip to Wales! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ There was a lot of good fortune that went into getting this shot. First, getting clear skies in Northern UK in November is a rarity. Second, this lighthouse is located on an island meaning we had to be very careful not to get stranded if the tide came in while shooting. We also werent sure it would be the right direction for Milky Way. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ A lot of good fortune and practice made for what is one of my favorite shots in a while. Plenty more to come from Wales soon! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Also if you're located in or near southern oregon, I'm going to be teaching an introduction to photography adult class in Grants Pass in January!! Message me for info! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #weownthemoment
An iconic shot in Northern Wales is this "Lonely Tree", which reminded me so much of the Wanaka Tree of New Zealand. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The sunrise was mostly a bust, but all it takes is that ONE moment. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #weownthemoment
