👀#NFFC have announced Francois Modesto (left) as the club’s new Technical Director and Jose Anigo as the club’s Head of International Recruitment. Modesto made over 600 appearances for clubs including Monaco🇲🇨, Cagliari, Olympiakos and Bastia. During his playing career, Modesto featured in the Champions League🏆and UEFA Cup. With Olympiakos, Modesto won 3 Greek🇬🇷titles and 2 Greek cups. After retiring, Modesto returned to Olympiakos who are also owned by Evangelos Marinakis as their Chief Scout, whilst at Olympiakos, the Greek giants won the league once and twice qualified for the Champions League whilst overseeing the club’s recruitment. Modesto will now be in charge of our recruitment and will assist the 1st team. Anigo began his career as the Director of the Marseille academy overseeing the development of players including Samir Nasri, Seydou Keita, Matthieu Flamini and both Andre and Jordan Ayew before coaching the 1st team. As a coach at Marseille, the French🇫🇷side reached the final of the UEFA Cup and coached big names including Didier Drogba. Anigo then became the General Manager of Marseille where he oversaw 1 league title, 3 French cups, 5 qualifications for the Champions League and 4 qualifications for the UEFA Cup. Anigo helped recruit players including Didier Drogba, Franck Ribery, Matthieu Valbuena and Hatem Ben Afra. Anigo has managed Esperance Tunis in Tunisia🇹🇳and Greek sides Levadiakos and Panionios. Anigo joins the club with an extensive background of success in European football, playing a pivotal part in the success of Olympique de Marseille since 2002. The Frenchman began his career as the director of the academy at the French giants, overseeing the development of future stars such as Samir Nasri, Seydou Keita, Matthieu Flamini and Andre and Jordan Ayew before stepping up to coach the first team. He led Marseille to the final of the UEFA Cup in 2004, coaching big names such as Didier Drogba, Fabien Barthez and Steve Marlet and leading them to a seventh-placed finish in the league. Then as General Manager, Anigo oversaw one league title, three French cups and five qualifications for the Champions League and four for the UEFA Cup, helping to recruit players such as Drogba, Franck Ribery, Matthieu Valbuena and Hatem Ben Arfa. 📝 Modesto appointed Technical Director #nffc are delighted to announce the appointment of Francois Modesto as the club’s Technical Director. Modesto had an extensive playing career across Europe, playing more than 600 times for clubs such as Monaco, Cagliari, Olympiacos and Bastia. During his time at the French giants, Modesto featured just shy of 200 times including in the Champions League and UEFA Cup in six seasons, finishing a high of third in the French top flight in 2005 and runners up in the French Cup in 2010. In Greece, Modesto featured regularly in the Champions League for Olympiacos and won three Greek titles and two Greek Cups. After ending his playing career, Modesto returned to Olympiacos as the club’s Chief Scout. During this time the frenchmen saw the Greek club win a national title and twice qualify for the UEFA Champions League. Whilst overseeing the club’s recruitment he has seen the arrival of players such as Daniel Podence, Jose Sa, Medy Camara and Peppe Cisse. Modesto now adds his experience to the backroom staff at Nottingham Forest to head the first team's recruitment and aid the first-team squad.
