I’ve spent 3 hours of my morning cleaning this bedroom today. Every time I do it I seem to fill up a bin bag of rubbish, I don’t know where it all bloody comes from?! I’ve got two gorgeous pairs of vintage peach curtains to put up on the windows in here, I just need my dad to come round and put the poles up for me 😁😁 #hinthintdad
I recently found some old photos of when we first moved in to our house. It was a completely empty new build with white square rooms and absolutely no personality. I often get envious of all the beautiful homes out there with lots of period features and pretty entrances, but then I see how far our house has come and am proud to call it home. . It got me thinking, what type of home do you live in? And what are your views on new builds? Would you live in one or are your put off by the lack of character? . The problem with a new build is that you don’t have those original floorboards, feature fireplaces or quirky details to add interest and character, you have to work harder with what you’ve got. This can be a daunting prospect for some but there’s a multitude of possibilities that can help your home tell a story about your personality - from using textures and patterns, to creating zones and playing with height. It all helps make your home come to life and soften the edges. 🏠 ⠀⠀
