A HUGE thing to keep in mind when PLANNING and PREPARING for 2020: Whatever it is that you’re trying to achieve, like giving up a certain food, or trying to get in better shape, or maybe it’s adding more plant-based foods into your lifestyle! Maybe it’s just as simple as trying to get enough sleep Remember this: It WILL be a slow AF process TRUST ME! However... QUITTING? Will not speed it up Ima read that again for you there in the back... it will be a slow process, but quitting won’t speed it up! I’m sure right now is NOT where you wanna be. I’m not anywhere where I wanna be LITERALLY. But think about where you’ll be this time next year! December 2020...? This isn’t to say everything is going to be perfect and go your way, fuck no it won’t! I’ve gone though some years where I look back and I WAS in the same place a year later, doing the same habits, hanging around the same people, still eating the same nasty crap that made me feel and look like ish. NAH. Let me tell you something December 2020 WILL IN FACT LOOK JUST LIKE TODAY DECEMBER 2019 IF YOU DONT GET OFF YOU ASS AND ACCOMPLISH THESE PROMISES AND GOALS YOU’RE MAKING TO YOURSELF Life will be more enjoyable and you will have something to be grateful for 🤸🏼♀️🤟🏼
I got a message today about the recent peloton commercial and honestly I didn’t know there was any drama around it before this message. If you haven’t seen it - go watch it, I don’t want to explain it all here. I understand that the times we live in people will get mad and hateful about pretty much anything. I also know that how people interact is usually a reflection of themselves for the position that they’re in. The problem is that our culture sees exercise as a punishment as if it is something that we have to do only when we are uncomfortable or unhealthy. If we saw movement as a necessary part of our lives these kinds of arguments wouldn’t occur. Saying that someone who is in shape doesn’t need to work out or doesn’t need a peloton, just doesn’t make sense. Everyone needs to move their bodies regardless of the size or shape and that movement should be their choice. The problem is that we view movement as something we can be inconsistent with, we start and stop while never learning how to make it a priority. Movement should be a part of our lives daily but we are such a lazy culture that we view it primarily as a weigh to lose weight or undo health damage. The mental health benefits just from movement alone are proven, movement isn’t for weight loss movement changes our lives. The problem isn’t a husband buying a wife a Peloton for Christmas, the problem is the fact that we see someone promoting movement as a problem. I think it’s also important to mention that every ride I’ve done on the Peloton no matter who the instructor is they are always promoting self love and body positivity all the way around. @onepeloton #onepeloton#pelotonrider#dailymovement#movebecauseyouloveyourself#moveyourbody#changeyourlife#positivemovement#peloton#selflove#selfcare#fitness#lifecoach

It’s not the money I’m after. It’s the freedom to live life on my own terms. ✨ Our sanity, purpose, happiness, and time can’t be bought. I used to DREAM about a life of working hard at something I love, helping others, making a living, and not needing to be chained to a desk 24/7. I spent years waking up and going to jobs I kinda sorta liked, not feeling like it was “me”, and wondering if and when I’d ever be able to really use my time wisely. My goals have shifted tremendously over the years. I prioritize myself. I focus. I write my goals down and quantify them. I work very late nights sometimes and sometimes early mornings. Take the money out of what you do and move with purpose. 🌟 Money helps, money is great, but don’t forget your why. 💕
100 RIDES✨ . . Yesterday I completed my 100th @onepeloton ride! I started July 3rd so almost exactly 5 months to the day. I want to address the backlash over the latest Peloton commercial—ahem, BOI BYE💁🏼♀️. To all the people saying “why is SHE so nervous for her first class?” about the thin actress on tv— Why would she be nervous? BECAUSE IT’S HARD💪🏻. I certainly was nervous for my first class. And though I would consider myself as an avid exerciser, it doesn’t mean I’m a world class athlete. (Oh and just because someone is thin, doesn’t mean they automatically are athletic and gifted, just like someone who is not at an ‘ideal BMI’, it doesn’t mean they AREN’T an athlete) // These classes challenge me, they motivate me, they push me, and they inspire me. 🙌🏻 it’s something i look forward to every single week. The instructors are supportive, inspiring, and welcoming. And shouldn’t we be supportive of people finding exercise routines they like? 🤔 Oh and to those people saying “it’s sexist the husband bought his thin wife a peloton”— umm, if someone bought me a peloton I would be jumping for joy and so excited! Just because someone’s thin and WANTS to exercise and their significant other sees that and gets them a bike, doesn’t mean it’s sexist. 🤔 . . So to all the people out there who don’t understand the commercial, or who have taken it the wrong way- that’s just it, you’ve taken it the wrong way. I L O V E @onepeloton
Mindset is such a powerful tool we have within us. I’ve been trying to shift from “oh I HAVE to exercise” to “I GET to move my body” it’s a CHOICE I get to have to celebrate my health. Moving your body is one of the number one fastest solutions to reducing stress as well. You don’t need that stress girl.... RELEASE it and go sweat! 👊🏼

I always get comments about my work out schedule like “I wish I had time” to work out as much as you do 🤩 Most days, I don’t have time have time either but in order to feel good (again, physically and mentally), I need to move my body in some way. So, working out is a non-negotiable for me each day✋🏻 Balancing that with the rest of life and an equally active husband, I do a lot at home 🏠 With that, here are my 5 favorite youtube channels for working out💪🏻 💫Yoga with Adriene: Love her! Most of her yoga workouts range from 15 minutes to 35 minutes; her yoga is peaceful and kind to the body and mind 💫 BodyFit by Amy: Another great resource Amy has a lot of strength training, cardio and HIIT workouts. My favorite workouts from her though are her TRX workouts. I bought my TRX straps off of #amazon and I think it’s a great way to move your body. Workouts range around the 20-30 minute mark 💫Fitness Blender: Love this husband and wife couple! Endless types of workouts from yoga to strength training ranging from 15 minutes to 60 minutes+ 💫Rebecca Louise Fitness: Rebecca and her dogs are great. Again, various workouts ranging from 8 minutes (one of my quickie arm workouts) to 30 minutes and beyond. Quick, easy effective workouts. 💫Talking to Trees: Sophie; I found Sophie and her pilates workouts when I was badly injured last year and I love her. Her pilates workouts range from 35 to almost 50 minutes Whatever you choose, whether it’s this type of workout or a walk up and down your street or stairs move that body! #move#moveyourbody#healthylifestyle#exercise#workout#hearthealthy#yogawithadriene#bodyfitbyamy#fitnessblender#rebeccalouisefitness#talkingtotreessophie#youtube#athomeworkouts#homeworkout#tametheswset
Hahah. I was hoping this post would be a lot more dramatic looking, but there are FOUR sizes between these jeans. When I started in March, I mostly was just tried of avoiding mirrors and hating absolutely every photo of me ever taken. I was tired of never having will power or the commitment to stick to something and see it through. I was a size 16, pushing an 18 and could never find anything I enjoyed wearing. Now, truth be told- I could be a lot farther along than I am now, but that doesn’t mean I shouldn’t be proud of where I am! I’ve learned so much, my body has changed drastically, I enjoy working out and I’m down 35 pounds. Better still, I am committed to my health and I’m sticking to it. I’m going into 2020 with motivation and excitement and I can’t wait to see what my body is capable of!

GUESS WHAT’S BACK?!?! ⠀ ⠀ 1. My flexing pic 💪🏼 I know zero people missed this but here you go! ⠀ 2. The annual Barry’s holiday sale! ⠀ ⠀ Don’t worry, not a sales person on this post cause I actually wanted to say that today I took my first Barry’s class in almost 2 weeks. Might not seem like a long time to go without Barry’s, but that was the longest break I ever took since I started working there.⠀ ⠀ If you haven’t noticed, I like to switch up where & how I’m working out constantlyyyy. I get bored, I fall into a rut, or I lose any sense of enjoyment if I’m not excited about the workout. I never want to use exercise as a punishment or feel like I HAVE to workout. I want to move my body because I can in ways that I enjoy. The 2 week break was MUCH needed because I came into class today excited to sweat💦 . ⠀ ⠀ Mixing in different places along with different types of workouts keeps me on my toes and makes me so happy to workout. I’ll never be someone who just does Barry’s or spin classes or boxing or running or lifting. I’ll forever be the person visiting a million gyms and classes cause that’s what makes it fun for me.⠀ ⠀ Here is your sales pitch: SO if you’re looking for a new type of workout, I do seriously suggest trying out @barrysbootcamp because the atmosphere of the class is 💯 and the workout is killer. Now is the time to buy classes for as low as $22 so click the link in my bio to purchase! Sale ends tomorrow at midnight. Sprint, don’t run 🏃🏽♀️. @bostondustin @brianpweller @katiecokes @bostonmo #barrysbootcamp#barrysboston
Dad is recruited to fill in as bestie while @elle.buxton’s sister is off serving a mission for the @lds.church. @tbux7’s first tick tok. Well done hon😂 @brock11johnson and @chalenejohnson have some new competition! 💃🕺🏻 BTW...this totally counts as movement and exercise at our house! #moveyourbody#familyfitness#daddydaughtertime
OK you’re looking straight at your future yoga teacher and I can’t almost believe it myself♥️♥️ I’m so happy and excited.. For others it may sound like a small thing to just do an education, but to me it’s grand. To take the step towards being able to learn the tools of how to help others feel more grounded, less stressed and maybe even happier, makes my heart jump. So many things fuck up our minds today and the depression rates has never been this high. Climate change, empty consuming, comparison on social media... No wonder we’re looking everywhere in desperation on something that can give us meaning. Yoga is that something, and now I will be able to help spreading it around the world to people! ♥️♥️♥️ #yogateachertraining2020
