“Give yourself space to grow.” For day 7 (letter G) of my A-Z guide to self care for #letteringselfcare 💫🛸🪐🌙 We have to give ourselves space and time to grow. Sometimes it’s difficult to see the growth, especially when we’re struggling or going through a difficult time. But trust the process, trust yourself, and trust that you will grow through what you go through.
Work has been crazy busy recently. Recording videos and working with companies and clients on hand lettering and branding. I’ve found it hard to work on my Instagram game - but something I’ve learned is that it’s okay to not be everywhere all the time. So if you haven’t already go and subscribe to my YouTube channel where I spend most of my creative life!
Evie’s personalised pressie for her teacher 💕 // I asked her to tell me the words that best described her teacher so I could write them, and this is what she said 😍 // I think it’s a pretty clear indication that she had a great year! // Any other mums out there who can’t believe how fast this year has gone??
Peek of the inside! . Here is a peek of one of the flourishing tips included in the Guide to Flourishing. . It might seem simple but it makes a huge difference! . Make sure your flourishes point back to your word or back to part of a flourish. . It helps your design feel cohesive and beautiful with your eye coming back to the word, not away from it. 🙌🏻 . I’ll be sharing more examples in my stories today!! . Also, I’ll be flourishing more phrases in my stories too so feel free to leave me ideas in the comments! Xo 💛-Lisa #hldguidetoflourishing
Matthew 5:13-16 on Stonehenge for a cotton anniversary gift. I made some traditional gesso from scratch, let it dry overnight, and then gilded little flecks of 23 karat “salt”. I just love how the gold glows in the photo!
His vows 💕 I was lucky enough to create these vows for Hayden and the matching ones for his new wife, Emily. They framed them and displayed at their party with their friends and family to celebrate the fact they’d eloped to Byron Bay 💕
“Celebrate the small victories.” For day 3 (letter C) of my A-Z guide to self care for #letteringselfcare 🥇 My husband and I are in the middle of moving for the second time this year, and it’s been stressful to say the least. I’ve been so overwhelmed with everything that needs to get done, that I haven’t had a moment to just breathe, take a step back, and celebrate the small victories. It’s hard to be proud of ourselves when we feel like there’s a million things to do and not enough time, but it’s especially important during times like these to celebrate the small wins. 🥇 So today, I’m celebrating the fact that I was able to get out of bed, I sat at my desk in our new place and lettered this piece, I cleaned and organized, I drank water, and I’m still alive. What small victories are you celebrating today?
