🏃♂️Calf anatomy🏃♂️ . . . 🤷♂️Two muscles make up most of what is considered to be the calf🤷♂️ . 💥Gastroc: Responsible for plantar flexion (step on the gas) while the knees are straight. They are the two large muscles that can be seen from outside. If you can't see two, as @lg_glassblock_movement says, best hit some more calf raises. . 💥Soleus: Responsible for plantar flexion while the knees are bent. They do not typically respond to hypertrophy training like the gastrocs do as they are more of a postural muscle opposed to one primarily used for movement. . 😎Be sure to scope @maxefficiency.fit this week as we go over the why and what to do about tight calves!😎 . ❤Fire off a DM if you cannot wait to find relief for your tight calves!❤
