I was hungry so didn’t get to take any great pics of my dinner but @two_sleevers gyro recipe is just fantastic! And I ended up using a @kboshfood zucchini wrap as my “pita”... Ketones are produced in your bloodstream once your body enters the state of Ketosis. This is a sign that your body is consuming fat as it’s primary energy source, instead of glucose (carbs, which break down into sugars). That is what it means when somebody says they are “ketogenic” or “in the state of ketosis”. It provides fat loss and is popular for eliminating hunger cravings, since your body becomes “unaddicted” to sugar. . This is my preferred method for testing ketones as a blood test will give the most accurate reading. Another method is to purchase urine test strips, which react to ketones that your body is disposing of. . There’s numerous reasons someone would test and monitor their ketones, and different levels of ketones can be beneficial for different reasons. This picture is the best way to describe how big my appetite used to be! If I wasn’t eating, I was thinking about how I wanted to eat or WHAT I was going to eat later on. Any of my friends can confirm this. I can safely say since adopting a 95% carnivore diet, it’s not only meant that I’m rarely hungry, but its also COMPLETELY healed my food addiction. I literally never think about food until right before I eat. THAT is the power of true nourishment. My body is now like “girl, you’re nourishing me well with quality food.. imma help you now”. Constant hunger and food addiction is a sign that you’re not nourishing your body properly and it’s literally STARVING for adequate nutrients! This woe is not for everyone but it’s a good thing to try if nothing else has worked. Insanity is doing the same thing over again but expecting a different result. Try something different ❤️
What you eat determines whether you lose or gain weight. . I love a good salad! . Do I need to eat salads in order to lose weight? No. . You can still eat the foods you like and lose weight.
