I get a lot of questions about healthy/clean eating habits-I am asked for answers as to why it’s not working so far or why someone isn’t seeing results so I thought Id quickly rant 🙃 (a lil long) • I like to think I eat pretty well most of the time but I am also not an expert. All I have to say is do a little research for yourself, put in the effort, become knowledgeable, and don’t rely on other people and fads to tell you how to eat (unless you’re paying for a dietician/nutritionist for further help). Get to know your own body and what it needs. I know how mine reacts, how much intake I need, etc. I don’t know this info for anyone else though. • The basics: usually advocating for “clean eating” means recommendations like switching to a diet filled with more whole foods and less processed junk food. Obviously that’s needed for a healthier lifestyle but just remember that eating clean foods doesn’t mean you can eat as much as you want. Just because you’re eating healthy or natural foods doesn’t mean it's impossible to overeat. ❔Why do I eat clean but I can’t lose weight? ❓Because you’re not in a calorie deficit Just take the time to understand what your habits are rather than just assuming you’re doing everything correctly and you’re not seeing results 🚫 • Another topic I get a lot of messages about: Extreme Carb Cutting. Yes, removing processed shitty carbs is a great step toward a healthier diet but extreme carb cutting of all healthy carbs like fruits and vegetables leads to low energy, low fiber intake, low vitamin levels and overall feeling like crap. I learned this the hard way. Eat a well rounded diet and don’t turn to any drastic fads. They’re not permanent healthy habits. Задумала для всех своих приготовить какао с маршмеллоу - что может быть более волшебным, уютным??? ☺❄❄ И конечно, маршмеллоу веганский, легкий как пушинка и #отвалбашни_навсегда 🤪 Ингредиенты: 130г - аквафабы ( я использую жидкость от белой фасоли) 1 ч.л. - лимонный сок (или 1/4 ч.л. винного камня) 1/4 ч.л. ксантановая камедь (iHerb) 50г - вода 225 г - сиропа топинамбура 5г - агар-агара (чайная ложка с горкой) Ванильная эссенция 💛 Приготовление: Аквафабу переливаем в чашу для миксера и добавляем совсем чуть-чуть лимонного сока (если его нет, можно использовать кем тартар) + 1/4 ч.л. ксантановой камеди. Отдельно в сотейнике смешиваем 50г воды, 225г сиропа и 5г агар-агара - на огне доводим до 110 С, если нет термометра, то это приблизительно 7-8 минут на среднем огне после кипения. Ставим на плиту сироп и одновременно начинаем взбивать аквафабу. Она должна стать плотной и увеличится в объеме. Затем на большой скорости мы вливаем горячий сироп в меренгу и

HEALTHY vs HEALTHY😬😬 (read this caption!) ⠀ ⠀ Let me just say that I am a BIG FAN of eating HEALTHY FOOD (of course😂). However, trying to reach any fitness goal (fat loss/muscle gain) by simple “eating healthy” can be a frustrating journey.. 😩 ⠀ ⠀ Explain? 10 years ago I didn’t know a single thing about calories or macronutrients. Zero. So when I tried to go on a diet, and tried to lose some weight, I would just start “eating healthy”. So I would cut out (what I thought was) unhealthy foods like bread, candy, chocolate etc. And only eat foods labeled as “healthy” (😭) ⠀ ⠀ Guess what? It didn’t work. I didn’t lose any weight. So it was basically what I call a lose-lose situation (opposite of win-win🤪). Because I didn’t get to eat the foods I enjoyed (🍕🍫) and it didn’t even make me lose weight. ⠀ ⠀ Fast forward a few years and I started learning about calories and macros. And the fact that I could fit some chocolate or some ice-cream into my otherwise healthy diet and still lose weight.🤯🤯 because total caloric intake IS the number 1 thing that controls weight-management (Not if the food is “healthy” or “unhealthy”). ⠀ ⠀ So to wrap up this reaaaally long caption (sorry) I want to say that HEALTH matters a lot. But when it comes to losing weight, there has to be an understanding of calories. Because as you can see in the picture there can be a big difference of calories in two foods even though they’re both “healthy” !! ⠀ ⠀ If you read till here then I freakin love you! Big and small ones. Start small then go big. ⠀ ⠀ It doesn’t need to be perfect. You don’t need to figure it all out today. But you do need to start somewhere. Therefor is can give individuals anxiety or unhealthy emotional patterns. Becoming aware of how you think is SO important because it affects your whole life 💗🧠
one of the hardest ideas for us to accept about ourselves is that we have limits. in a society that celebrates busyness, personal drive, maximization, multitasking and a no boundary philosophy with work or technology, the idea of rest seems to be very counterculture. we’re taught to keep pushing and to suck it up. we’re celebrated for powering through and burning the candle at both ends. we are over-adrenalized and over-caffeinated to force ourselves to keep going. honestly, this strategy for life wreaks a lot of havoc in our bodies and in our minds. our mental health suffers and we’re the big losers in the long run. . the reality is we need rest and we do have limits on how far we can push our body and our mind. trying to override this basic human need is really the epitome of denial and a lack of self love and respect for ourselves. that may sound a little extreme but when you fail to rest and honor your limits you are basically in a state of punishing your body and mind. you treat it with contempt when you ignore it’s needs or simply see it as a means to an end. when you rest, you’re respecting your whole personhood and loving your whole being. . over the past month, i’ve slowed things down in my own life because i heard my body and mind saying it was reaching some limits. so i listened to it. i slowed my roll on a lot of things and looked for ways to replenish. less posting here on IG. taking more naps. delaying a project until 2020. being okay with inefficiency. spending more time being quiet and letting my foot off the gas pedal of life. it feels a little weird some days but i want to respect my limitations and practice more kindness towards myself. try it out for yourself, enjoy the benefits and get creative about how to find genuine rest in your life. . #selfcare#replenishment#limitations#mentalhealth#driven#workaholic#boundaries#healthyliving
SUNDAES sure make a FUN DAY 😜 I know it isn’t Summer but I can literally spoil myself with Icecream any time of the year 😍🍨 . Made this Sundae using my favourite Jamoca Almond Fudge from Baskin Robbins 💞 Hidden inside are layers of homemade chocolate sauce, caramel, Strawberry crush, Sunflower seeds and chocolate cake crumbs 🍓🤤 .
