What do you say when someone ask, "who are you". I'm not sure. I guess student of life best sums it up. Life has never not been a challenge for me. Theres always some struggle. Once one has been defeated another struggle was waiting to take its place. Through all of that stuggle I've become a lover of life. No bullshit, I love everybody, every experience, every interaction, I love it all. The good, the bad and everything in between. Life is short and we cant always pick and choose what happens but we can choose our perception of these things. Choose patience, peace and happiness everyday.✌🏾❤

Our bodies are constantly remodeling to better reflect the physical demands we ask of it. Obvious examples would be a ballet dancer vs a football player, or a Pilates practitioner vs a powerlifter. One thing that the ballet dancer, football player, Pilates practitioner, and powerlifter have in common is that they are all acclimated to movement, so they have a certain level of conditioning. . So how do these populations compare to someone who spends a lot of time sitting at a desk? . In the same way our bodies build to better support physical demands, they also conserve energy when possible. Think about what sitting does-- it provides an exterior source of support for our bones. Over time, that body is going to think “Why do I need to keep using so much energy to support myself? This chair’s doing it for me!” . Things might be fine while you’re sitting (except for that neck and upper back pain but that’s a future post), but what happens when you do want to pick up ballet, football, Pilates, powerlifting? Or hiking, rock climbing, running a 4K, or even carrying a bunch of heavy groceries? . This is where the importance of STABILIZATION comes up! Let’s say you dropped something, can’t reach it. You find a tool; you look for a SOLID object, right? Not something flimsy? Ok let’s say you dropped THAT tool; you look for a second tool to attach to the first tool. You want that to be solid too. Sorry, bad analogy but I hope it gets the point across! . In that way, you need an end anchored to something solid in order to do anything productive. And then that thing needs to be anchored to yet another solid thing. Your head, arms and legs all trace back to your core. Having a stable core helps increase your movement efficiency. . . . #lmbsdesklife
To track or not.... Most people seem to be gotta track everything or against the total idea of it feels it's a bad habit!!! Remeber this is a useful tool. At the moment my food has gone a little by the wayside with stress of work, lack of good sleep, struggling to be consistent with my training and doing course work. Most of the time I would have a similar routine in my 3 meals and what I need to take in between through years of tracking, consistency, eyeballing the same meals over and over again. This has allowed me not to track everything and sit at maintenance level easy but now trying to lean out a bit but also for training performance I am going to be tracking my food for a couple of weeks. And with this it's gonna incorporate better habits from me and less Stress This is not something I wanna do forever as people can obsess about every macro which isn't needed. After a few weeks I'll assess and note Sleep, training and satiety while seeing bodyfat drop How I set my targets I'll cover tomorrow #jjnutritionperformance
