I told my friend Christopher that I wanted to send him roses. I asked him what colors he likes and he picked green and grey. Thank you @schmistopher for posting this lovely photo with @taylorskyeflowers preserved roses 💚🌿🌹
Green design has come a long way over the past few decades—we have been moving forward from less impact to no impact. But now we have the technology to realize a world in which buildings can produce more energy than they use; create their own potable water from natural precipitation; and enhance human, animal, and plant health. Toronto is leading the world in flood protection and most people don’t have a clue, says @uoftdaniels prof Fadi Masoud. He took our writer @katrina.onstad on a tour of Toronto’s transforming eastern waterfront to show how green design is making this city more resilient. Read the full story at the link in our bio. Il est où le soleil, il est où ? En tout cas, pas dehors... Heureusement que plusieurs tendances actuelles permettent de prolonger l'été toute l'année comme les styles Jungle, Hacienda et Ethnique. Avez-vous succombé ?
After a fire destroyed the Abbey in 1926, Library director Fr. Barnabas Reasoner, O.S.B. approached Finnish architect Alvar Aalto in the early 1960’s to design the library. The collection currently holds over 225,000 volumes, though it was designed to handle around 300,000 volumes total.
Recently Christina and I visited @fabrictempe for a tour with my long time friend and co-founder Angela Johnson. (When she’s not busy running FABRIC, she’s also a fashion designer - @tshirtballgown - teacher, consultant, and mom. Yeah, I don’t know how she does it all either and she is always smiling!) Anyway, we were BLOWN AWAY by this small business fashion incubator and design resource Angela and Sherri Barry @azfashionsource have built in our community. It is unique in the US and is sure to become a model for other communities across the country. If you’re in the fashion arena or trying to break into it and haven’t been to FABRIC, go check it out, stat. From classes and design resources for small brands to a photography studio and super cool industrial event space (swipe for a quick video), this organization has so much to offer. I expect to be seeing a story in @wwd in the not too far off future. #fabrictempe#fashiondesign#businessoffashion
Säzän Group and Säzän Environmental Services attended the 10th Annual 2019 Northwest Climate Conference in Portland. A wide range of experts ranging from Alaska to California shared their latest research on climate change, with a particular focus on the PNW. The event has multiple rooms with simultaneous sessions occurring, a genuine wealth of knowledge and expertise. We were glad to be a part of the conference 🌎 #wearesäzän#nwclimate2019
