Just a few of my favorite accessory movements. The first video is one of my absolute FAVORITE supersets: stiff arm pulldown with tricep press. Second video is Kettlebell overhead press. With stiff arm pulldowns, this is the movement that has helped me become more aware of my scapular position (aka shoulder blades). The tricep press downs are just a way for me to grow my baby triceps to be real potatoes one day 🥔. As for the kettlebell OHP, this movement allows me to perform a standing OHP without compromising my shoulders or low back. This movement has taken me a good month to feel comfortable with. Try these bad boys out the next time you are in the gym!

IG vs. reality ▶️ - depending on how you look at it, i picked either the best or the worst time to record my squat showing my facial expressions 😬 - 200lbs 2x1  just gotta tell yourself “come on, don’t be a b*tch” 🙃 this felt like the longest squat of my life and it was supposed to be a double 😅 split it into 2 singles for obvious reasons, and then the second set moved 9000x faster. COOL, the one i DIDN’T record.  on the bright side, my new @sbd.usa belt is now my favorite thing i own. 10/10 💖

This is why you stay tf away from a scale. I’m heavier than I was a month or two ago now. But I feel better, lifting heavier, sleeping better and lookin a wee bit better. Take before and after photos and focus on performing better than last time, lifting heavier, running further or just feeling better during a workout. How do you finish off your leg workouts?  For me I like to do DB goblet squats for volume.  I love these they are a killer!  I like to hold a DB in front of me for better quad activation but it works hamstrings and glutes as well.  You could also use a kettlebell too if you prefer.  To perform: have feet a little closer than shoulder width apart, knees slightly over toes but not too much, when going down try to push the glutes back and squeeze for better glute activation, keep spine neutral and head in forward position then squat to about 90 degrees then explode back up.  Watch yourself in the mirror to watch and correct your form if need be.  I suggest using a comfortable yet somewhat challenging weight to shoot for 15 or more reps.  I'd say about 80% or your 1RM.  In this video I was using a 120lb DB and it was perfect for me challenging enough to feel the burn and get a great pump.  I did 4 sets of 15 - 20 reps.
