Traveling with adults is hard. They drag you around to places that you had never before heard of, make you sit politely on long train / car/ taxi rides and at restaurants that don’t serve anything you’re used to having at home and then they don’t even let you run wild and free in one of the world’s largest, oldest and most extravagantly labyrinth-ed medinas. Today we woke and could see that our babes needed a day of familiarity. There were tears and tantrums (not all from small humans) and gentle parenting responses required. We took them to a mall. A run of the mill, could-be-anywhere-in-the-western-world mall. It was the best we could think of! And whilst we got lost about 14 times trying to walk there (would have been 15 if we’d heeded the earnest, yet clearly and intentionally misleading directions from a massive group of adorable, giggling and cheeky young boys who were delighted by our presence and the opportunity for mischief!), when we arrived we were greeted with an indoor play centre and an ice cream shop, and we said yes to it all! They spent the afternoon quietly coloring on the roof top of the incredible riad we’re staying in and playing with their dolls. Balance! Not every day can be about bucket lists and that is a-ok too!
Hello darling friends! 🥰 We've got a NEW VIDEO up 🙌 (link in bio) It's quite a long one so maybe watch it when you get a chance during the weekend 😘 . This was a true highlight for us in the 6 months that we've been in Bali the first time around. Puri Dajuma Eco Beach Resort 🙏🏻🌏💛 The nature & scenery there was just incredible. And River has grown so much since this trip! Hearing his sweet baby voice was such a precious reminder to cherish every single stage of his development because it's so fleeting ♡ He speaks so well now, forming full sentences so easily. (He's bilingual so you might hear me speaking Afrikaans to him in some parts of our videos). He's currently at the constant 'Why?' phase 🙈 And I also get why people keep having babies now 🤣💞 . A big warm thank you to the friendly caring staff of @puri_dajuma ♡ Especially Dina & Rondy 🙏 We stayed in one of their stunning Bendega Villas but they also have duplex villas, cottages & suites for the whole family! . ♡ @thesoulshinefam

Although saying goodbye to all of our friends and family was a bit tough, we we're quite relieved that the moment of leaving was finally there. 14th of September 2019. Only a 11 hour flight to Xiamen, a 12 hours transit time in China, followed by another 5 hour flight to Denpasar, and we would arrive at our destination.
. . . #frenchtraveler#exploretheworld#lonelyplanetfr#wearebackpackeuses#ellesvoyagent#travelblog#voyageuse#aroundtheworld#travel#solotravelgirl#blogvoyage#roadtrip#igtravel#passionpassort#voyageursdumonde#globetrotteuse#travelling#traveltheglobe#traveltheglobe#passionvoyage#mytravelgram#instatravel#solofemaletraveler#fulltimetravel#exploremore#frenchtravelers#aroundtheglobe#girltravel#solotrip#roadtrippers
Calling it a wrap. Paddle board put away, drawers are reorganized, @winksandwhiskers inventory counted, bikes are bungee’d to the back... time to continue our #fulltimetravel below beautiful New England.
Our '96 Minnie Winnie renovation is nearly complete! We painted the cabinets, fridge, and benches, redid the counter with concrete, painted and covered the table with epoxy, recovered the cushions and ordered a new couch cushion. We are still working on the small details, but we absolutely love how it's turning out! What do you think?? 🚐
The Yellowstone hot springs were mesmerizing. The colors were so vivid. They were steaming, some literally boiling, but all incredible to see. This place is truly and perfectly wild, and I'm so thankful we got to experience it.
Nathan's out of town for FOUR DAYS😢 and he has the truck... So the boys and I explored the campground a bit today. Our actual site may suck, but the rest of the grounds are beautiful! The boys loved getting messy hiking around by the lake, and I loved watching them giggle and play 🥰
Ahh the open road. The wind in your hair, the sun on your face, your favorite song on repeat. If you need a little road trip inspiration in your life, head to our stories for four incredible ideas. BONUS: all hotels mentioned are book-able via The Local Foreigner Hotel Desk (link in bio).
Said our goodbyes to lovely Bend around 1pm. Yesterday I was doing trip prep, as I ALWAYS call dump stations ahead of time to confirm it's still operational, since so many times they aren't! Had a bizarre call with a woman at Gordy's Truck Stop in LaPine. Today, thinking I'd done my due diligence, we dieseled up, got genny gas, received a dump discount for filling up first & David had the sewer hose all hooked up, only to discover there was NO WATER!! WTH kinda idiots, especially at a TRUCK STOP, don't have water at the dump to at least rinse, even if it's not potable?!?! There was a spigot on the side of the building, however it was not convenient AT the dump station...aaarrgghh. The Shell Station just down the street has a dump too, no idea about their water situation. During the summer, the dump & water at LaPine State Park is FREE, however, they have shut off their H20 for the season. Onward... So here we are for the night, this will be our last night lotdocking till we're back on the road in June. Tomorrow we're headed back to the Mt. Shasta area for a few days at our new favorite campsite in the Shasta-Trinity NF, which will be our last boondocking before we reach our final destination & put down our jacks for awhile. Kla-Mo-Yah Casino & Travel Center is 114 miles south of Bend & 24 miles north of Klamath Falls OR. We're not high mileage RVers. I know a lot of people are up with the sun 'n laying down some serious miles in the 4-5, even 600 'n over range. Yeeaaah, NOT us, we're not morning folk! This casino offers FREE parking, max of 3 days, generators can run up until 10PM, all the other usual rules apply. Permission slip is issued from the security desk to the left inside the door. There are 5 other RVs and a van in the lot with us. We pointed our genny towards the hwy, in case there are any early-to-bedders. 💖 THANK YOU, KLA-MO-YA* CASINO! 🎰 (Klamath, Modoc, and Yahooskin Tribes) http://klamoyacasino.com/rv-guests/ - - - - - #klamathcounty
i challenge you to lust for life. drink less alcohol and more tea. do more yoga, lift more weights and sit on the couch less. text more friends random articles that are interesting and call others to have a deep conversation. book more train and airline tickets to see sights you’ve never seen. listen more when you don’t know, ask more questions, and always practice the art of learning. work a job you love, use a budget weekly, and learn how to appreciate every single day. i challenge you to lust for life, don’t just have a heartbeat and flesh, no that doesn’t mean you’re alive. i challenge you to really live your life, to give each day a purpose and to find your joy daily. #sylvestermcnutt#lustforlife #powerofmind#perspectives#dailyaffirmations#dailyroutine#morningroutines#empoweryourself#selfempowerment#manifestyourlife#reallove#abundantliving#soulpurpose#findyourinnerpeace#plantbasedliving#sustainablelifestyle#creators#abrahamhicks#moreyoga#yogaspirit#yogalife#nahko#seeker#seekers#seemore#artoflistening#fulltimervers#fulltimetravel#travelislife#wanderoften
I’ve been writing about our travels around Montana recently and that inspired me go hunting for this photo. I’ll always remember these gorgeous skies, distant horizons and its vast and empty beauty. I also remember that we didn’t see a SINGLE BEAR, despite crossing most of the state, but that’s another story. 🐻😜
These Colorado Springs sunsets are to die for! 🌅 We are so fortunate to have this view of Pikes Peak every night from our campsite. #13 is very lucky in this case. In fact, when we checked in we were asked if we were OK with 13. I think we are doing just fine. And we have never had these cool Adirondack chairs at a campsite. I think all campgrounds need these chairs, don’t you agree?! 🥰
