We were so looking forward visiting beautiful Grand Canyon NP during Thanksgiving break (11/24-12/1) but our volleyball club season interfered and rather than canceling we decided to offer 2 Bedroom Deluxe Unit to friends for just a cleaning fee!!! 🤗 Please message me if you're interested? 👍😍 #flagstaff#vacation#giveaway#thanksgiving
There was a prescribed burn on 10/21, near Snow Bowl Road and Hwy 180. I was on my way to Hart Prairie to take pics of the colors, but the sun shining through the smoke was so interesting. Sometimes no color is better than lots of color. #flagstaff
The journey through potential causes of shoulder pain begins! And let me tell you, this is a complicated joint with a lot of tissues working in multiple directions to keep that joint strong and stable. 🔻 The picture you see before you is a pair that I come across quite often. The muscle in the front is one we’ve discussed before and that’s the pec minor. The one in the back going to come into play quite a bit and that’s the subscapularis. 🔻 The symptoms we’re listening for is, pain in the front of the shoulder and they point to the area right in front of the shoulder where the biceps tendon resides. Or, tension right in between the shoulder blades, higher up, right around T3 - T5. 🔻 Both of these muscle assist in a lot of things, but primarily, the pec minor assists in the beginning to middle stages of shoulder flexion, as well as, resisting that motion on the way down. It’s the prime mover in rolling the shoulder in, and assists in upper thoracic rotation as we’ve discussed before. 🔻 The subscapularis is a prime mover in the infamous rotator cuff. It’s primary purpose is to resist external rotation. 🔻 This is a relationship where the culprit could be either or. This is where muscle testing is really important as it pertains to vetting out which is the villain and which is the victim. If this tool isn’t available in your arsenal, then biofeedback is your best friend when releasing these muscles. 🔻 🔻 #kokoromovement#nkt#neurokinetictherapy#rocktape#rockblades#rockpods#frc#functionalrangeconditioning#controlyourself#functionalwarmup#functionalmovement#functionaltraining #flagstaff#flagstafffitness#flagstaffrunning#flagstaffaz#habituallearner#massage#massagetherapist#sportsmassage#massagetechnique
