Can’t wait to go back to Siargao. It will always have its charm, and when I went, I finally understood why some people would be staying for longer than usual. That friendly vibe, the diversity of gastronomic experience, and the proximity of all those water activities, this small portion of our country has a lot of them. And of course, I will always want to experience them with an able body, just so to maximize what this small surf town has to offer. Thanking my ever reliable www.buckedup.ph supplements for them (I brought a tub of my favorite PH Mango pre-workout for that burst of energy haha) which I got for discounted price at their website when I put in 𝐃𝐄𝐍𝐍𝐈𝐒𝟏𝟎 for promocode. Your only obligation is to be true to yourself.⚠️ Have you ever made a decision completely based on feeling like it’s something you’re supposed to do? I don’t think there is a worse feeling and the good news is, It’s never too late to say ‘the hell with that’ and move on. You don’t owe anyone an explanation and if you feel in your heart that you need a change then do it. Life is too short to be spent unhappy doing things you feel your obligated to do. Maybe your decision is scary, and other people don’t get it but at least at the end of the day you can be happy with yourself and the courage it took to make a change. ❤️
JEDER kann Muskeln aufbauen, der Eine schneller, der andere langsamer #consistency and #patience is the 🔑 . . Mein FAZIT für dich: PROBIER aus ‼️ viele vs. wenige Wiederholung, Time Under Tension, Supersätze, Dropsätze, verschiedene Übungen (ich halte mich schon lange an keinen Trainingsplan mehr, sondern variiere ständig hinsichtlich der Geräte, Übungsreihenfolge, Übungen) . #shewhodareswins 💯
I know you all are getting sick and tired of my non stop barrys posts since feb, 🤣 oops lol (idc) but there’s a reason as to why I love this place, I call home, so much. So it’s been about 10 months since i started my fitness journey. Before February, if someone payed me to get on a treadmill and lift weights, I would actually laugh at their face🤣 I hated anything to do with fitness. I used to say, “why would I put my body through pain, for what? I look good anyway🤪” I remember my mom would try everything in her power to drag me to the gym for YEARS, but I refused, till that one day, she finally managed. I wasn’t doing too good mentally, neither too good physically (even tho I wouldn’t admit at the time😭) with one of the worst cases of insecurity and a whole lot of other mental issues such as a severe depressive episode. My mom would tell me that exercise would help me improve my mental health and physical health, but I just didn’t believe her, I thought she was just worried about me gaining even more weight than I already have. One day, to make my mom happy, I decided to try out Barrys bootcamp with her. And from that day on, everything changed. And I cannot thank my mother @arabiangazelles for opening my eyes, helping overcome my mental issues, improving my physique, Improving my health, and most of all for making me uncover a new chapter in my life that I never knew I’d be so passionate about. I could never thank you enough for what you’ve done for me, my hero, my role model and my everything. Another thank you to barrys bootcamp, and all the amazing people I’ve met over the past 10 months. You’ve all become like family to me, and I am always just overwhelmed by how supportive you all are and how blessed I am to have met all of you. Thank you to all the trainers & staff. All of Your encouragement and constant motivation pushed me to heights I never thought possible. Thank you for inspiring me to be excellent in everything I do.
FIRST GYM SESSION BACK ✨ (*old pic ofc lol*) . . . Well, not quite a ‘gym session’ as I once used to do 😅 - but a huge step in the right direction. It’s been 3 weeks of not doing anything and just waiting, but today I felt confident enough to test the waters. For those that don’t know I have costochondritis, but my symptoms have eased off massively this week and medication has been reduced again 🥳 . Week 1: bed rest Week 2: slow walks (20 mins building up to trips out) Week 3: getting around without active pain . Yesterday was also the first day I didn’t need to nap whilst I was doing work and felt like the accompanying fatigue has improved so much - which made me SO happy 🤓 . So as the gym this morning went: I just thought of a few exercises that didn’t jeopardise any inflammation in my upper body, so ended up doing leg press (conventional, narrow stance, and single leg), the leg extension machine, and then some walking lunges 🥰 . Of course I used minimal weights (3kg lol holla) but compared to what I have been able to do these past few weeks this is HOOGE. I will NOT be pushing myself any harder than this until I continue to improve, as my health will always come first - but my god it feels great to get my body moving again ✨ . Now back home for some oats, then to my desk for the rest of the day to smash ma law stuff 🤓. Have a fab day peeps!
This is a reminder that it doesn’t matter what you look like when you are working out, just go and smash it and embrace the sweaty hot mess that you are! 🙌🏼 Feel strong and empowered and don’t think twice about sweat curls or red cheeks! #dominatingdecember#embracethesweat#embraceactive
“No matter what has happened in the past, you can create a different future. Each moment you have a choice of how you want to create the very world in front if you. You can choose to live in fear, or you can choose to live in love. This is your decision to make, and yours entirely. . . You cannot control everything. There will be things that happen that are completely out of your hands. But what you can do is how you want to move forward after that event has happened. You can hold onto it and let the pain fester, or your can move through it with light and let it dissolve around you. It will take time. It’s not easy. But the process frees you from the moments of the past that used to control you. . . . Be willing to let go of the things that you know in order to truly begin to “see”. The way you’ve been doing things, the things you think you know, and the habits you have can all put you in a box. Be flexible enough to let those morph into things that truly serve you. Don’t be afraid to start all over again.” . . . @furthermore @iamwellandgood @shape @womenshealthmag @yogajournal @mantramagazine . . . #yoga#yogi#yogini#yogaeverydamnday#yogaeverywhere#yogaeveryday#igyoga#yogagirl#yogalife#yogalove
💪🏼 Here’s How I Make Consistent Progress With My Diet 👇🏼 ✔️ Being calorically aware. Your food intake is like a budget. You have a specific amount of calories to play with daily, use them wisely and do not exceed. ✔️ Use strategies to make room for circumstantial eating patterns. Have a big dinner to attend? Fast during the morning & early day, then eat high protein, low carb & fat until your enjoyment meal/dinner. ✔️ Have a balanced diet. A balance in carbohydrates and fats with a sufficient amount of protein to support building lean muscle will work just right for most people. Don’t overcomplicate it. 👉🏼 If you enjoy posts like this, double tap & let me know! 💪🏼
Calves didn’t make it in this because they are screaming for some love and attention. 😊 As we are coming to the end of 2019 and we are all doing some reflecting. Here are some lessons and things I learned: 1. Focus on the POSITIVE! ➕ 2. Focusing on the negative wastes precious time & that, you won’t get back. 🙅♀️ 3. You won’t always have what you want, but will always have what you NEED. 4. Love your body at every single stage. ♥️ 5. Love, love and love. Do EVERYTHING with LOVE. • • • #fitspo#lifestylefit#fitness#inspiration#motivation#quads#gains#christmastree#colombiana#love#sony#thatsnotacameltoe
