Lely is back!! To be transparent, I’ve been having problems staying on track. The past few weeks have been hard and it’s because of stress. I’m an emotional eater. Somehow my brain says “Ice cream is going to make you feel better.” 🤷🏻♀️ I’m slowly getting back into it. Last night I picked up this chicken from Publix. It’s cream cheese jalapeño stuff chicken breast wrapped in bacon with broccoli and Parmesan cheese. This dinner was delicious! Help me get motivated! What have you accomplished this week? #fuegofriday
. ‼️This just in: Eating fats, does NOT make you fat‼️ . Fats, just like Carbs and Protein, are an important part of a balanced diet. Eating adequate portions of fats can leave you feeling fuller, longer. In addition to carbs, your body also uses stored fats as an energy source. When going long periods without food, your body will turn to these stored fats for energy. . 🧠 Did you know that (when drained of water) brain matter is made up of about 60% fat?! Monosaturated Fats (Olive oil, avocado, nuts, eggs) can increase production of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter that helps with memory and learning. . 🧬 Fats are used in the production of hormones and phospholipid cell membranes which are used when it comes to creating new cells. . 🛡Fats insulate and protect your body! There is a layer of fat under your skin which helps regulate your internal body temperature. Vital organs, such a kidneys, are covered in a layer of fat that acts as a protectant. . So, moral of the story? Eat healthy fats for energy ⚡️, memory ☁️, learning 🤓, hormonal balance 💆🏻♀️, and to regulate your body temperature ❄️.
