A few weeks ago I wrote a huge list of all the things I needed to get done in September with my little house. Needless to say not many things on that list have been ticked off - I think I was being overly ambitious. But I have achieved two pretty hefty projects. The first was to get the guttering repaired over the front bay window and at the back. Nothing particularly Insta worthy - but essential if my little antique home is to stay sound. Removing the guttering at the front revealed rot to the wall plate as well - so not a five minute job. But the lovely builders did a good job and we are now watertight (at guttering level at least!) But the other, far more exciting project was to paint the hall. It’s long, thin and was featureless. Also,I had not finished this room before I moved in. My inspiration was from the stairs at @pallanthousegallery in Chichester. A very different space to my little hall. I drew it out and showed the decorator. Safe to say he thought I was bonkers. But fair dos to the guy, he went for it. We marked it out together with string and a straight edge. And then I left him to it - he just had my design for reference. So, what do you think? It still needs dressing. I’ve been collecting vintage mirrors from eBay which I intend to hang in the blocks of colour but also on the opposite wall to add to the illusion (or bonkers ness depending on your view.) I also now have a radiator dilemma. Original plan was a modern grey one but now I’m not sure. I need something to blend in with the design since it is against the coloured wall. If anyone has any ideas let me know. #renegaidinteriors#rebelwalls#interiorrebellion#inmydomain#homesofinstagram#bright#howihome#artfullyhomes#artfullywalls#stellarspaces#crashbangcolor#crashbangcolour#bohohomedecor#darkinteriors#entrancehall

My basket in place now, on a bench my husband crafted from oak wood. I just love this simple little corner we have by our entryway. When we were building one of our concerns was this walkway right into our living room. It was the only thing we didn’t like about the house plan, but we both agree it turned out pretty alright 😊
🤧 Home Day 🤧 well for me today it really is good to be home. I’m loaded with cold which has been creeping up on my all week which just makes me generally feel a bit shitty! My friend is coming over tonight for takeaway, wine & can’t up which I can’t wait as I haven’t seen her in so long! So a weekend of chilling is on the cards 🙌🏽 What’s your plans this weekend?
