What if we are asking the wrong questions? . I read this snippet today and it got me thinking... . "What's the meaning of life? Why was I born? . Most of us struggle with these questions - sometimes when we're young, sometimes not until we're older. . Rarely do we find much in the way of direction... . But that's simply because we miss the point. . ... It is NOT OUR QUESTION TO ASK. . Instead, it is WE who are being asked the question. . No amount of travel or reading or clever sages can tell you what you want to know. . Instead, it is YOU who must find the answer in your actions..." . I can't say that I am someone who has ever really tried to contemplate what the meaning of life is... . I can't say that I struggle with figuring out "why I was born"... . I've personally never really looked at it that way. But maybe you have? . Either way, at a bare minimum I think we can both agree that we see these questions portrayed in movies... . Songs... . Memes... . Books... . and so on. . And even though I haven't ever really sat down and tried to contemplate life, or "figure it out" ... I have had many smaller mental conversations with myself asking, what do I want to do, what makes me happy, etc. . But what I like about this snippet, is that it puts the question back on us. . It reminds us that we are in control. . It highlights the fact that each life and the "meaning" or "purpose" or "impact" of that life is different. . It reminds us that we don't need to wait... . We don't need to wait to be "told" why we were born. . I mean think about this, how shitty would it feel if you did get "told" why you were born and it was something different than what you truly want ... or what you want to spend your life doing? . And I think that's what this snippet is reminding us, that we can go out and JUST START DOING things to create the life we want... . By doing what we feel is right. . By taking action to make that positive impact we want. . By taking action to create the life we
“Yad LaKashish is a present from heaven. Being with friends, being productive, and being happy.” This is what Fenya said upon her return to Yad LaKashish after breaking her elbow earlier this year. At 94, she has been a valuable member of the Textiles Workshop for over 18 years. Fenya was born in the Ukraine but she survived WWII in Russia. At just 16, she was forcibly relocated there to work in a munitions plant. For Fenya, coming daily to Yad LaKashish is a lifesaver. “Being idle at home is distressing,” she says. Nearly 300 seniors depend on Yad LaKashish daily to live productive and meaningful lives.
#ad We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give. — Winston Churchill ⠀ Last week was #givingtuesday and I am keeping the giving momentum going by challenging myself to make every Tuesday this holiday season #givingtuesday. ⠀ I made a donation to St.Jude using @PayPal Donations are one way to give back, but I feel giving your time, raising awareness or spreading kindness are also great ways to give back. ⠀ So celebrate the holiday season with a gift to charity. It can come in many forms, from volunteering at a senior center to donating few dollars to a local charity. It's a simple act of kindness that benefits the community. ⠀ I urge you all to #givebetter by giving what you can throughout the holiday season. And Giving back is easy with the @PayPal app – you can choose from thousands of approved charities and seamlessly donate to supportthe causes close to your heart. When making donations, you can take advantage of features like fraud protection and convenience. ⠀ #paypalpartner#givingtuesday#spreadthelove#giveback#meaningfulgifts#mindfulness#buybetter#worldkindnessday#dogood#feelgood#happyholidays ⠀

Can I get an amen?🙋🏼♀️ • We are not perfect by any means🙅🏼♀️,but Josh and I made a pact several years ago to just simply stop talking about people. We realized the time we wasted and the pride that took over when we felt the need to point out how someone hurt our feelings, how someone needed to change their actions, or just when we read into the million things someone said or did.🤦🏼♀️ • How exhausting!😫And what a sad way to live. So many of us devastatingly live this way. • Join us on the journey of less criticism, and more encouragement.🤗 • So here’s your encouragement to encourage that friend/family member/spouse/child/co-worker/boss/parent who you can sometimes find yourself criticizing.🤷🏼♀️ • This truly is life changing.🙌🏻 • 1 Thessalonians 5:11✝️ . . . #alysfight#encouragement#lesscriticizing#buildoneanotherup#encourage#bekind#dogood#livejustly#reminder#christmas2019
Might seem like a small ask but today we want to encourage you to do something for someone special today. Smiling at a stranger, complementing someone on a job well done or maybe buying someone a cup of coffee. Kindness and love goes along way.

Our Elf (on the shelf), Nutmeg Twinkle Cake (who bakes the North Pole Christmas cake!)was touched yesterday and lost her magic ✨😭.. We woke up today with 2 sad girls who misunderstood and thought her magic would NEVER return! When they learned the magic of tomorrow would return a little of their magic returned as well. Sometime life is like that.. we have days we feel the magic is gone and wonder if it will ever return. The good news is there is alway hope in tomorrow. There is always magic in a new beginning. Enjoy this Christmas season and look for the magic everywhere you go ❤️

N E W L A U N C H! | Whenever I was 15 and studying for my learners permit, I remember reading about how speed effects vision. I learned that the faster you drive, the more narrow your tunnel vision of the road becomes, blurring your peripheral vision from its natural ability to be aware of your surroundings. The danger? Limited awareness on your journey. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ + ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When we push the gas pedal and blitz through life, we lose awareness of what's around us. Our kids, our friends, our spouse, our ability to care for ourselves. My gosh, we forget to just see what is beautiful around us- the changing leaves, the morning light coming through the window in the nursery, the taste of our coffee. Before we know it, another year is over and we are hustling through the tinsel and wrapping paper forgetting to slow down & admire the lights in the trees. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ + ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Slow down, dear friends. Take a breath in the hustle of this season and look around you. . . . #ramblewithus#dogood#thehappynow#favetee#happynow#screenprinting#courage#bebrave#livewithpurpose#thatsdarling#motherhoodrising#inspiredmothers#liveauthentic#humansofjoy

Tonight we honored my dad by leading a yoga class together. These amazing people came together for a good cause that my dad would be proud of. I thought today would feel like any other day without him, but it hit me a little harder this morning and then before class. It’s hard to fathom this is real sometimes. Even 1 day without him is hard as hell. And somehow we managed to get to 2 years. It’s important to me to keep moving and living my life to the fullest because I know he wouldn’t want his loss to cause us destruction. I fight hard to not get myself in dark places I was once at... and it’s all because of him...his voice never leaves me, and my sister for getting me into hot yoga, there’s nothing like it for my mental health. I’ll never ever be the same again but because of the amazing people in my life, I still smile, laugh and live. Thanks for showing up tonight for us @tribehotyoga... especially @lweathers11 and Aunt Mimi coming from Haddonfield in the awful rain. ❤️❤️❤️ And thank you for all the texts/messages today. I felt all your love! 😘 Now if maybe the #eagles could pull off a win?! 🤷🏼♀️ . . #tribehotyoga#giveback#helpingothers#missingourdad#addictionsucks#yourlifematters#yogaflow#nothingbreakslikeaheart#leavingalegacy#dogood#dontsweatthesmallstuff
