I have a fear of heights... I know, I’m a pilot, and I have a fear of heights! People find this strange when they find out what I do. It’s something I can’t explain... but I’ll try. When I’m in an aircraft flying along at 25,000’ or in a light aircraft during my training doing steep turns, I feel fine. There is no fear there. I’m not sure if it’s the trust in technology or my pilot training, but I don’t get scared of heights when I’m flying. But stand me on the edge of a cliff, the Grand Canyon, or a high bridge, and I can barely look over the edge! I do believe in facing your fears, so although I am petrified, I regularly go climbing, I’ve abseiled a 200m high cliff edge and climbed countless ‘go ape’ experiences. I was scared during them all, but I did it regardless. I’m hoping one day I’ll be able to do these things without the fear, but for now, I will keep facing it. Do you have a fear of anything? black or white? - How do you drink your coffee?😅 I think coffee is the number one remedy for fatigue in our job. Whether it's early morning to wake up or late evening to stay awake. Due to the different shifts and sometimes wasted time we have to adapt our sleeping habits to the job. #de schwarz oder weiß? - Wie trinkst du deinen Kaffee? Ich glaube Kaffee ist das Mittel Nummer eins gegen Müdigkeit in unserem Job. Egal ob es früh morgen ist zum wach werden oder spät am Abend um wacher zu bleiben. Durch die verschiedenen Schichtdienste und manchmal auch Zeitverschwendungen müssen wir unsere Schlafgewohnheit an den Job anpassen.
