I'VE DONE MY EVERYDAY GRATEFUL & I am about to read my book but in my head I'm thinking, tomorrow will be better purely because👇 . 🎨@theanxietycode ✒@anxiety_wellbeing . BECAUSE I've been shattered all day, & getting thoughts like . 'I don't wanna do this' 'I don't want to Cook' 'I don't want to get up & do' . However I don't allow how I feel to stop me, so I've been up, done what needed to be done but doesn't mean it's not been easy, it's not nice feeling tired & having to get up. . So I was about to get reading like I said but I spotted this image & the thoughts & feelings about today have changed. Why? . BECAUSE I just took 5 minutes to refocus. To look at my week What went well? What did I learn? What mini ta-das happened? What did I enjoy? What thing have I missed that I should appreciated but I was focused on. On 'uh I don't Wanna!' . The time I had with my boys  The smiles  This is our time The sun was bright today The little conversations  The chilled silences we enjoyed together  Just being us. 😍 . Insecurities are a fucker aren’t they?  But they are genuinely there to teach you how to love yourself a bit better.  It’s only taken me 38 years to realise this mind you but I realised.  I used to look to other people to make me feel secure but that’s never going to happen until you feel secure yourself first.  Someone can bring you all the happiness in the world and be the most loving person ever but unless you feel secure within yourself, it’s going to mean absolutely fuck all.  I’ve still got insecurities, loads! I just try to not let them win.  Being kind to other people is lovely but being kind to yourself first is the priority ❤️

As a new parent, a good sleep session seems almost impossible, so I encourage you to ask for help from loved ones. Most want to help so let them know how they can. Also, start with setting small manageable goals for the day and try to achieve them one by one. The most important advice I can give is to show yourself kindness and compassion. Read on for a soppy post 🤓 #disdone  The day I got my A level results I cried, not because I didn’t get the results I wanted, not out of happiness, but because I was absolutely terrified. I’d gotten into the uni I’d wanted to go to since I was 14, but didn’t think I could do it.  I still struggled with an eating disorder, anxiety, and spent more time at home with my parents than any normal 18 yr old ever should lol.  It would have been easier, safer, less scary to stay in my comfort zone, to wait until I was ‘ready’. But I’d already wasted too much time being scared.  Everything you want is just on the other side of fear. Sometimes, you just have to do the things you think you cannot do✨
