Fully intended on taking some pics of the ahhhhmazing scenery on this run but there were two girls in their sports bras with 6-packs that I couldn’t risk losing my 1/2 second lead on. I’m not hating, I just find ways to drive motivation. I might be a little competitive. . . . My first evening at Lake Tahoe I camped next to Emerald Bay in the Bayview Campground. It was a perfect evening. The building at the summit of Fannette Island is a stone teahouse built towards the beginning of the 20th century.
Falling in love is the easy part, but staying in love is the struggle. Nothing grows from a space of comfort—not seperately, and certainly not in unity. To honor myself, I always promise to be okay with the uncomfortability of sharing my truest self—the light sides and especially the dark.
This may not have been the #gnarliest water I’ve purified, but it was the #first time using @thegrayl water purification water bottle and by golly was it fantastic! Quick and easy to use even with limited footing 👌#kayakcamping #laketahoewatertrail#empoweradventure
In my previous business, when I was a Beachbody coach, I hosted lots of events, including retreats. They were about growth, learning and community. Most of them were BIG events that required a lot of money and energy in planning and I loved every part of it, but every time after it was done, I felt exhausted and burnout. At the time, it was a solid trade-off… I got to pour into my team, infusing them with MY energy. I believed the only way to motivate people to DO and GO was to give them some of what was already within me, but that created codependency. They needed me for the energy, I needed them to feel ‘needed’ and ‘worthy’ of my leadership. On top of that, I was giving up everything that was sacred inside of me, instead of lighting that sacredness inside them. The fire burns within us all, there is never any need to give yours away! It’s a beautiful lesson that we all go through when learning our boundaries. I had to give and feel depleted many times before I made the choice to change how I inspired and motivated. I wanted to do it with loving boundaries. As I transitioned into my now current business, Soulful Marketing, I was still drawn to hosting retreats, but they needed to be different. So I started doing them in a way that held my boundaries close to me. The first 3 retreats I hosted in my new business were not immersion retreats. Meaning, we did not stay all together in one house or hotel. Each person was required to find their own lodging and we met daily for the activities and working hours of the retreat weekend. I did have them all over to the house for an intimate dinner and fire, but I held my sacred space to myself. Those retreats were still as powerful and I felt energized after they were done. These first retreats of my new era gave me time to heal and time to reset, so I could fully show up in an immersion retreat ready to help my students embody their own inner light and truth. I got better at listening and asking questions, so
