G R A T I T U D E 🙏🏼 I exist here because of U ♥️. A big thank you to my insta family and friends coz it’s only your love and appreciation that I am finally posting my 1000th post ... I never got on this platform knowing where I would have been today ... a hobbyist photographer who started posting selfies ... eventually her hobby turned to a passion and then to an obsession so much so I pursued my masters in journalism in-spite of having 2 children , there was never a day I thought I was not able to pursue my dreams- photography and then documentary film making it honestly still feels unreal to me . The motivation that I received from all of you through your this journey has helped me achieve my dreams ... there are lots of special ppl in my life who I met through this platform and I couldn’t have asked for better friends than them ! So thank u for being there for me ! A big thank u a very close friend @sadak_chap for shooting this brilliant image in my soul city !

I have held many things in my hands, and I have lost them all; but whatever I have placed in God's hands, that I still possess. Martin Luther..... a dim light in a small alley of the holy city Varanasi , the daily morning routines of the people living nearby had begun , kids going to school , the vegetable vendor selling his daily produce , lots of activity but he remained calm and composed and in his meek voice reading the Ramayana . His eyes looked tired .. maybe he hadn’t slept well for a few days , his little corner with a few bags and that was his home .. a picture of god , his holy book and 2 cloth bags that’s all he needed to survive ... while I watched him peaceful and in a deep form of meditation as his fingers touched the pages of the holy book I felt an emptiness .. - that i posses so much and yet lack what he had - peace .....
People come from all around India to bath in the Ganges in Varanasi. They believe it’s the holiest river in India and Mother Ganges will free you of all your sins. It also happens to be the dirtiest river in the world. So let’s just say, I’m happy to remove the sins of my feet only and no further. After all, only a couple of hundred meters away, they cremate bodies in the river and there’s a slight sewage problem too.
#travelnia#varanasi#ghat#dashashwamedhghat#gangesriver#rioganges
