Hi everyone,  As we all know, last Monday Thomas Cook ceased trading with the loss of 9000 jobs and thousands of customers affected.  Detail is now emerging about the ATOL claim process which is being handled by the  CAA (Civil Aviation Authority). The CAA had originally advised that the claims process would open on Monday 30th September. However, over the course of this weekend we have been advised that this date is now highly likely to be delayed due to the unprecedented task of repatriating over 150,000 Thomas Cook customers back to the UK.  We have now been informed by ABTA that claim forms will be available from 7th October 2019.  What next? We will receive further updates from the CAA over the next couple of days - this will detail the claims process and the date that claims will be open from. We'll send you a further update as soon as we receive this detail.  Start Preparing... If you've paid by Debit or Credit Card or Direct Debit - you'll need bank statements for each of the transactions you've paid either to us, your travel agent or directly to Thomas Cook. This is mandatory to be able to complete the claims process.  You'll also need a copy of any receipts, booking confirmations and your ATOL certificate. If you don't have any of these and you originally booked with us, we have copies of these and will assist you with the information.  If you didn't book with us, please try to fine the information that you need as it will assist you greatly in making a claim. BA STRIKE - IMPORTANT INFORMATION  Just a quick reminder that British Airways have cancelled almost all their scheduled flights today (Monday 9th September) and tomorrow (Tuesday 10th September). Almost 1,700 flights have been canceled to and from both Heathrow and Gatwick which will disrupt the travel plans of almost 250,000 passengers.  BA have advised passengers not to travel to the airport if their flight has been cancelled.  This may also affect you if you have connecting flights.  If you are due to fly with BA in the next 48 hours, please check the travel advice and keep in touch with whoever you booked the flight with - if you've booked with us, you'll have heard from us as we are continually checking the situation.  Be prepared that there may be knock on delays on Wednesday 11th September as planes, crew and pilots maybe out of position, but again, we're keeping an eye on things for you.
