...it's not every day one gets a special greeting by the longest serving Town Crier at the 50th anniversary of Kings Meadow!
While the Halifax Library was bustling with people.. I was tucked away in their media room being interviewed by Costas Halavrezos. Was I nervous? You bet.
28 years ago we married for life 💓💫
Feeling so grateful to have been shortlisted for the Ann Connor Brimer Award. Huge congratulations to Susan Sinnott for her beautiful story, Catching the Light! Loved having the opportunity to meet up with @chariscotter1 again as we were still glowing from our Hackmatack win the week before. Both of us still quite giddy over it all. Also loved joining in the excitement with fellow @nimbuspub authors as they won in their categories. And who doesn't love catching up with @lesley_crewe Cape Bretons own Mauve Binchy. #atlanticbooks #atlanticbookawards #canadianauthors
So grateful for this!
Hubby and his beautiful art work at the Avon River Heritage Museum.
Had a fun Q&A with this great group of students today. It went by in a blink of an eye. Could have talked to them all afternoon.
Had a great time at Chapters today. So grateful for those that stopped to chat. Bonus was that I got to hang out with my daughter and brother!
It's hard to believe two years ago I was signing my contract - and today I'm off to sign copies of Finding Grace from 1-3 Chapters (Mic Mac) 😊
When I do school visits I never know who I might reach. Today I received the sweetest email which made my day. Here is a part of what the student said, "after your presentation I ran to the library to get a copy of Jacob's Landing and I read the first three chapters and fell in love with it! My friend and I were so inspired by your speech we decided to write a book too." Doesn't get much better than that! 😊#books #nimbuspublishing #localauthor
